TL;DR: The procedure proposed allows for automatic determination of optimistic and pessimistic project scenarios with regard to both time and cost, using simple math operators like the arithmetic average and the center of mass.
Abstract: The analysis proposed is aimed at a detailed risk review for a given project at the stage of value engineering of the integrated value and risk management. On the basis of the cost estimate and the time schedule established, for individual groups of works, the cost or time deviations for each task are specified. Expert knowledge is used for this purpose. In order to transform the input information, it is necessary to introduce fuzzy modeling, which includes fuzzification, inference and defuzzification processes. The procedure proposed allows for automatic determination of optimistic and pessimistic project scenarios with regard to both time and cost, using simple math operators like the arithmetic average and the center of mass. In this way, we obtain the quantified risks associated with time and cost of the project, which allows for comparison of several technologies for implementation of the same project and selection of the most optimum variant.

TL;DR: In this paper, a review of the evolution of industrial engineering and illustrated the new problems encountered in modern industrial engineering is presented, by using the Seven Elements Pyramid Model in the new generation of value engineering, researchers and practitioners are able to discover the sources and processes of value generation.
Abstract: This paper started with the review of the evolvement of industrial engineering and illustrated the new problems encountered in modern industrial engineering. By using the Seven Elements Pyramid Model in the new generation of value engineering, researchers and practitioners are able to discover the sources and processes of value generation. Moreover, since human resource is an indispensible part of value engineering, we find it is in great need of new research methods to study workers’ physiological and psychological status in the course of work. Therefore, neuroscience methods are introduced into the modern industrial engineering, creating the new field of Neural Industrial Engineering (NeuroIE).

TL;DR: In this article, value engineering is used to reduce the manufacturing cost of leaf spring and three areas have been identified are having potential to carry out this analysis, they are 1) Hardening Furnace, 2) Hardness Testing Machine, 3) Cambering and Quenching Drum and Tempering Furnace.
Abstract: 2 Abstract: Objective of the project is to reduce the manufacturing cost of Leaf spring. Value Engineering is selected to achieve the said objective. Three areas have been identified are having potential to carry out this analysis. They are 1) Hardening Furnace, 2) Hardness Testing Machine, 3) Cambering and Quenching Drum and Tempering Furnace. Methodology for this project is Data Collection, Conducted Brain Storming and identified alternate processes, Creation of idea bank, Preparation of Technical Fast Diagram, Preparation of feasibility ranking and idea comparison, Preparation of function cost worth statement, Preparation of Implementation plan and Preparation of Cost Benefit Analysis.
