TL;DR: In this paper, the authors explored the current state of knowledge about employer brand and identified the various employer brand building blocks which are conceptually integrated in a predictive model, and found that employer brand is influenced by target group needs, a differentiated Employer Value Proposition (EVP), the people strategy, brand consistency, communication of the employer brand, and measurement of Human Resources (HR) employer branding efforts.
Abstract: Orientation: In an ever shrinking global talent pool organisations use employer brand to attract and retain talent, however, in the absence of theoretical pointers, many organisations are losing out on a powerful business tool by not developing or maintaining their employer brand correctly. Research purpose: This study explores the current state of knowledge about employer brand and identifies the various employer brand building blocks which are conceptually integrated in a predictive model. Motivation for the study: The need for scientific progress though the accurate representation of a set of employer brand phenomena and propositions, which can be empirically tested, motivated this study. Research design, approach and method: This study was nonempirical in approach and searched for linkages between theoretical concepts by making use of relevant contextual data. Theoretical propositions which explain the identified linkages were developed for purpose of further empirical research. Main findings: Key findings suggested that employer brand is influenced by target group needs, a differentiated Employer Value Proposition (EVP), the people strategy, brand consistency, communication of the employer brand and measurement of Human Resources (HR) employer branding efforts. Practical/managerial implications: The predictive model provides corporate leaders and their human resource functionaries a theoretical pointer relative to employer brand which could guide more effective talent attraction and retention decisions. Contribution/value add: This study adds to the small base of research available on employer brand and contributes to both scientific progress as well as an improved practical understanding of factors which influence employer brand.

TL;DR: A new public information management philosophy underlies this significant revamping of the value propositions made to customers, and the ongoing enrichment of the Greek Ministry of Finance e‐services follows an ICDT‐like business logic.
Abstract: Governments are employing modern information and communication technologies to serve society better. Raising the effectiveness and quality of government services is not only a matter of new technologies; it also involves clear vision and objectives as well as a sound business strategy. Information systems need to support internal work within a government’s boundaries, serve customers through digital interfaces and leverage digital relationships among social partners. To implement such systems, preparatory work is required in both organization and technology. A new public information management philosophy underlies this significant revamping of the value propositions made to customers. The ongoing enrichment of the Greek Ministry’s of Finance e‐services follows an ICDT‐like business logic. A key factor of all these advances is the re‐orientation of information systems for customer‐centric service.

TL;DR: This paper investigates the effects and implications Big Data offers for IC management, in support of the fourth stage of IC research, and provides an original interpretation ofIC research through the lens of Big Data.
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to contribute to the literature on intellectual capital (IC) in light of the emerging paradigm of Big Data. Through a literature review, this paper provides momentum for researchers and scholars to explore the emerging trends and implications of the Big Data movement in the field of IC.,A literature review highlights novel and emerging issues in IC and Big Data research, focussing on: IC for organisational value, the staged evolution of IC research, and Big Data research from the technological to the managerial paradigm. It is expected that identifying these contributions will help establish future research directions.,A conceptual multi-level framework demonstrates how Big Data validates the need to shift the focus of IC research from organisations to ecosystems. The framework is organised into four sections: “why” – the managerial reasons for incorporating Big Data into IC; “what” – the Big Data typologies that enhance IC practice; “who” – the stakeholders involved in and impacted by Big Data IC value creation; and “how” – the Big Data processes suitable for IC management.,The paper provides many avenues for future research in this emerging area of investigation. The key research questions posed aim to advance the contribution of Big Data to research on IC approaches.,The paper outlines the socio-economic value of Big Data generated by and about organisational ecosystems. It identifies opportunities for existing companies to renew their value propositions through Big Data, and discusses new tools for managing Big Data to support disclosing IC value drivers and creating new intangible assets.,This paper investigates the effects and implications Big Data offers for IC management, in support of the fourth stage of IC research. Additionally, it provides an original interpretation of IC research through the lens of Big Data.

TL;DR: In this article, the authors present a decision-maker's guide to renting business applications over a network and highlight the key factors associated with successful outsourcing from planning through ongoing relationship management, and beyond.
Abstract: From the Publisher: The definitive decision-maker's guide to renting business applications over a network. Netsourcing: The market, the players, the services A guide to the fast-changing netsourcing playing field Integrating netsourcing options within a total IT sourcing portfolio Even large-size customers can benefit from selective netsourcing Best practices for evaluating and selecting providers Choosing partners that fit your approach to business—and have real staying power Minimizing the risks of netsourcing partnerships Realistic best practices for managing technical, contractual, operational, and managerial risk Previewing new strategic options in netsourcing What you need to know about "next-generation" netsourcing services—and service providers Managing the netsourcing relationship successfully Achieving the "holy grail": the "win-win" outsourcing relationship Enterprise case studies: key outsourcing successes and failures What works, and what doesn't: the experiences of today's leading global companies Netsourcing is the practice of renting or "paying as you use" access to supplier-managed business applications, made available to multiple customers over the Internet or other networks. The concept of delivering business applications as a service—or "apps on tap"—was initially called application service provision (ASP). But that term has proved too narrow. Today customers are using netsourcing to hand over entire business processes to service providers, smanage customer-grown applications. The netsourcing value proposition to customers is compelling: no upfront infrastructure costs or costly software licenses, business applications delivered in days/weeks, scalable solutions that grow or contract with the customer's business, flexible solutions with minimal switching costs, and minimal expensive in-house support staff—to name a few. Given these benefits, who wouldn't want to netsource? On the downside, there are significant netsourcing risks that must be mitigated. The netsourcing of business applications is still seen as an immature option primarily offered by unstable dot.com start-ups. Business managers worry about the reliability and security of the Internet, feel that their business requirements are too idiosyncratic for canned, "one-to-many" solutions, and do not trust outsiders to supply mission-critical systems. So how can businesses leverage the value offered by netsourcing while reducing its risks? How can businesses compare and integrate netsourcing with other sourcing options? Every business is asking questions like these. Netsourcing delivers the answers. Based on unparalleled research at the world's leading enterprises, this book identifies the key factors associated with successful outsourcing—from planning through ongoing relationship management, and beyond. The authors show you how to take full advantage of the dramatic changes roiling the outsourcing marketplace, helping you realistically assess the promise of next-generation outsourced services—and the capabilities of the service providers who offer them.
