TL;DR: In this article, the structural properties of ZnSe thin films have been investigated by XRD X-ray diffraction techniques and the lattice parameters, grain size, microstrain and dislocation densities were calculated and correlated with the substrate temperature.
Abstract: ZnSe thin films have been deposited on high cleaned glass substrate by spray
pyrolysis technique within the glass substrate temperature range (400 ○C
to 450 ○C). The structural properties of ZnSe thin films have been
investigated by (XRD) X-ray diffraction techniques. The X-ray diffraction
spectra showed that ZnSe thin films are polycrystalline and have a cubic
(zinc blende) structure. The most preferential orientation is along the
(111) direction for all spray deposited ZnSe films together with
orientations in the (220) and (311) planes also being abundant. The film
thickness was determined by an interferometric method. The lattice
parameter, grain size, microstrain and dislocation densities were calculated
and correlated with the substrate temperature (TS). The optical
properties of ZnSe thin films have been investigated by UV/VIS spectrometer
and the direct band gap values were found to be in the region of 2.65 eV to
2.70 eV. The electrical properties of ZnSe thin films have been investigated
using the Van der Pauw method and the high quality ZnSe thin films were
observed to develop at 430 ○C with a resistivity of 56,4×105 ohm cm, a conductivity of 1.77×10-7 (Ω cm)-1 and a hall
mobility of 0.53 cm2/Vsec.

TL;DR: In this article, transparent conducting thin films of F:SnO2 have been deposited onto preheated glass substrates by a spray pyrolysis technique using pentahydrate stannic chloride (SnCl4·5H2O) and ammonium fluoride (NH4F) as precursors and mixture of water and propane-2-ol as solvent.

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of high temperatures and lower copper concentrations in polycrystalline thin films of CuInSe2 and CuGaSe2 was studied by electrron microprobe analysis, X-ray diffractometry, Hall effect and van der Pauw measurements, and spectrophotometry in the near-infrared and visible range.

TL;DR: In this article, the excess capacitance, C0, is calculated as the intercept of a C vs (V + V d ) − 1 2 plot, where Vd is the diffusion potential.
Abstract: Non-ideal 1 C 2 vs V plots showing curvature concave downwards can be transformed into linear 1 (C − C 0 ) 2 vs V plots by determining the excess capacitance, C0, as the intercept of a C vs (V + V d ) − 1 2 plot, where Vd is the diffusion potential. The corrected curves indicate a uniform doping profile in agreement with independent Van der Pauw measurements. An analysis of the possible significance of C0 indicates that its value can be used as an approximate quality index for materials fabricated by different methods.

TL;DR: Time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy measurements were used to study the mobility and lifetime of PbSe nanocrystal films prepared with five common ligand-exchange reagents and found that films treated with different displacing ligands show more than an order of magnitude difference in the peak conductivities and a bifurcation of time dynamics.
Abstract: Colloidal semiconductor nanocrystals have been used as building blocks for electronic and optoelectronic devices ranging from field-effect transistors to solar cells. Properties of the nanocrystal films depend sensitively on the choice of capping ligand to replace the insulating synthesis ligands. Thus far, ligands leading to the best performance in transistors result in poor solar cell performance, and vice versa. To gain insight into the nature of this dichotomy, we used time-resolved terahertz spectroscopy measurements to study the mobility and lifetime of PbSe nanocrystal films prepared with five common ligand-exchange reagents. Noncontact terahertz spectroscopy measurements of conductivity were corroborated by contacted van der Pauw measurements of the same samples. The films treated with different displacing ligands show more than an order of magnitude difference in the peak conductivities and a bifurcation of time dynamics. Inorganic chalcogenide ligand exchanges with sodium sulfide (Na2S) or ammon...
