TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a method to neutralize ammonium vapours by water solution of 20%-cutric acid at 2 atm for 2 minutes, successively 6 to 8 times every 15 minutes.
Abstract: FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cleaning air from toxic volatile substances and may be used in medicine, veterinary medicine, at chemical and woodworking fabrics, etc. Proposed method consists in neutralisation of ammonium vapours by water solution of 20%-cutric acid at 2 atm for 2 minutes, successively 6 to 8 times every 15 minutes. ^ EFFECT: efficient, non-polluting method. ^ 5 dwg, 16 tbl

TL;DR: In this paper, organic vapours such as ethyl methyl ketone, methyl acetate, methyl alcohol, diethyl ether, acetone and acetaldehyde were adsorbed on the chromatographic silica gel between 273 K and 297 K under a vacuum of 10 -4 to 10 -5 Torr.
Abstract: Organic vapours such as ethyl methyl ketone, methyl acetate, methyl alcohol, diethyl ether, acetone and acetaldehyde were adsorbed on to the chromatographic silica gel between 273 K and 297 K under a vacuum of 10 -4 to 10 -5 Torr. A Cahn 1000 electrobalance and an X-Y Beckamn chart recorder were used for recording the data. Kinetic parameters such as rate constant, Knudsen diffusivities, bulk diffusivities and effective diffusivities have been calculated employing the Fick-type equation. The effect of temperature on the sorption of these organic vapours has also been discussed

TL;DR: In order to form deposits of AlO x or of another metal oxide on plastic films, vapours of the component substances of the layer to be deposited and a gas such as oxygen or an oxygen-containing gas are introduced, which gas collides with the flow of vapours directed upon the film on which they are to condense; for the introduction of the gas, ionizers are provided which introduce the gas predominantly in the form of plasma generated in hollow cathodes.

TL;DR: In this paper, the ammonia was introduced through a pipe terminating in the centre of the top of the vapour space, where it was used to prevent corrosion in a vessel containing a liquid which evolves acidic vapours.
Abstract: 705,234. Preventing corrosion. STANDARD OIL DEVELOPMENT CO. April 28, 1952, No. 10645/52. Class 123(1) Corrosion in the vapour space of a vessel containing a liquid which evolves acidic vapours, e.g. crude petroleum oil, is minimized by introducing into the vapour space ammonia in an amount substantially less than that required completely to neutralize the vapours, e.g. from 3 per cent to 20 per cent of the required amount. This is equivalent to maintaining in the vapour space a concentration of ammonia equal to 0.1 per cent to 0.8 per cent of the volume of the vapour space. The ammonia may be introduced through a pipe terminating in the centre of the top of the vapour space.
