TL;DR: In this article, it was found that the electrode tip was a source of the composite metallic part and the electrode lateral surfaces covered by titanium compounds yielded vapours of the elements being components of the compound.
Abstract: The composite layers of titanium and its high-melting compounds (TiN x , TiN x C y ) were crystallized from the pulse plasma on steel at a temperature ⩽500 K. It was found that the electrode tip was a source of the composite metallic part and that the electrode lateral surfaces covered by titanium compounds yielded vapours of the elements being components of the compound. These vapours were the source of the second composite part. Considering that the type of crystallized layer is determined by temperature and pressure in the nucleation region, one can assume that the TiN nucleation takes place in this very plasma, in the temperature range 1800 to 2700 K.

TL;DR: In this paper, a closable cooker is connected to a condenser by means of a pipe, the cooler of which condenser comprises a cooling agent, the cooling agent and the cooking vapours being separated by a wall.
Abstract: 1. A device for condensing and possibly refluxing cooking vapours, consisting of a closable cooker which is connected to a condenser by means of a pipe, the cooler of which condenser comprises a cooling agent, the cooling agent and the cooking vapours or condensed cooking vapours being separated by a wall, characterized in that the condenser (6) comprises a latent heat storage medium as a cooling agent having a melting point between 25 and 70 degrees C and the quantity of which is such that its melting heat is at least equal to the quantity of water to be condensed.

TL;DR: In this article, a pH of 12 is established for the scrubbing liquid in the single and multi-stage gas or vapour scrubbing stages with subsequent drying of the resulting slurry, to strip and purify gases or vapours.
Abstract: In a process for the purification of dust- and aerosol-containing gases and/or vapours in single- and multi-stage gas or vapour scrubbing stages with subsequent drying of the resulting slurry, to strip and purify gases or vapours, and also to strip NOx to a considerable extent, a pH of the order of 12 is established for the scrubbing liquid in the scrubbing stages by addition of milk of lime and gas or vapour velocities in particular in the scrubbing stages of the order of 2-3 m/sec are maintained. In this case, high scrubbing liquid rates in the region of 2-4 m of scrubbing liquid per 1000 m (S.T.P.) of gas or vapour are to be circulated. Recycling is provided for the liquid circulation, so that waste water is avoided. The process is expediently carried out without electrostatic precipitators.
