TL;DR: This paper presents an evaluation of the relative performance provided by analog and digital video modulation approaches and Antijam (AJ) performance of these modulations is considered when used in concert with spread-spectrum techniques such as frequency hopping, and direct sequence pseudorandom modulation.
Abstract: This paper presents an evaluation of the relative performance provided by analog and digital video modulation approaches. Antijam (AJ) performance of these modulations is considered when used in concert with spread-spectrum techniques such as frequency hopping, and direct sequence pseudorandom modulation. These modulation approaches are compared on the basis of power efficiency, required channel bandwidth, and degree of AJ protection for the same output video quality. The effect of video bandwidth compression and reduction techniques on the relative modulation performance is also presented. A description of an RCA-developed wide-band video AJ system, based on the results of this study, is also included.

TL;DR: In this article, the video signal in the band of 1/n of the output signal band of the pick-up camera is delivered and reproduction is performed in order to establish excellent video quality.
Abstract: PURPOSE:To establish excellent video quality, by performing the delivery and reproduction of the video signal in the band of 1/n for the output signal band through picking up the output signal of the pick up camera at the transmission end every n line per one frame. CONSTITUTION:The original video signal outputted by the pick up camera is picked up every n line per one frame, separate line is picked up every n line as to the next one frame, and similarly the switch 5 picking up the signal on all the lines for the original video signal in n frame is provided at the output end of the transmission unit 1. Further, the signal picked up from the switch 5 is expanded n times time with the time expansion circuit 6 and delivers it to the narrow band signal delivery line. Thus, by performing delivery and reproduction for the video signal in the band of 1/n of the output signal band of the pick up camera, efficient narrow band delivery ismade and excellent video quality can be obtained.
