TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed a compsn. which is suitable as a heat-sealing agent for lids of convenience noodle caps and is not whitened even when brought into contact with hot steam, by mixing PE, an ethylene/vinyl ester or unsaturated carboxylate ester copolymer and a tackifier.
Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a compsn. which is suitable as a heat-sealing agent for lids of convenience noodle caps and is not whitened even when brought into contact with hot steam, by mixing PE, an ethylene/vinyl ester or unsaturated carboxylate ester copolymer and a tackifier. CONSTITUTION: 20W80wt% PE (i) having a density of 0.91W0.94g/cm 3 , 15W75wt% copolymer (ii) of ethylene with a vinyl ester such as vinyl acetate or an unsaturated carboxylate ester such as methyl acrylate[in such an amount that α×β=100W400, where α(wt%) is the amount of copolymer (ii) to be added and β(wt%) is the ratio of copolymerized vinyl ester or unsaturated carboxylate ester in copolymer (ii)]and 5W30wt% tackifier (iii) are kneaded together to obtain the titled compsn. For example, an Al foil is laminated an a paper substrate by using molten PE. The surface of Al foil of the laminate is subjected to anchor coating. The surface is extrusion-coated with PE. Then the surface is extrusion-coated with the above compsn. to form a lid material. COPYRIGHT: (C)1983,JPO&Japio

TL;DR: In this article, an improved version of the catalytic, VAPOR PHASE production of VINYL ACETATE from ETHYLENE, ACETIC ACID and MOLECULAR OXYGEN was shown.
Abstract: AN IMPROVED CATALYST FOR THE CATALYTIC, VAPOR PHASE PRODUCTION OF VINYL ACETATE FROM ETHYLENE, ACETIC ACID AND MOLECULAR OXYGEN SI SHOWN. A CATALYST FOR THE SYNTHESIS REACTION COMPRISING METALIC PALLADIUM AND AN ALKALI META ACETATE OR FORMATE SUPPORTED ON A CARRIER IS ACTIVATED BY INCLUDING METALLIC GOLD THEREIN. A PREFERRED CATALYST COMPOSITION WHICH SHOWS SUBSTANTIALLY IMPROVED OPERATING CHARACTERISTICS INCLUDES METALLIC PALLADIUM, AN ALKALI METAL ACETATE AND METALLIC GOLD. ANOTHER PREFERRED CATALYST COMPOSITION INCLUDES A LOW MELTING MIXTURE OF AT LEAST TWO ALKALI METAL ACETATES.

TL;DR: In this article, a process for the preparation of catalysts using soluble nanoparticles is described, which are composed of either palladium alone or palladium together with metals of subgroups Ib and VIIIb of the periodic table and which are embedded in protective colloids.
Abstract: The invention relates to soluble nanoparticles which comprise palladium alone or palladium together with metals of subgroups Ib and VIIIb of the periodic table and which are embedded in protective colloids, wherein the protective colloids comprise at least one polymer having betaine groups, and to a process for preparing them. The soluble nanoparticles are suitable for the preparation of catalysts.
