TL;DR: This proposed Visual cryptography provides the demonstration to the users to show how encryption and decryption can be done to the images.
Abstract: Visual cryptography is one of the techniques used to encrypt the images by dividing the original image into transparencies [1]. The transparencies can be sent to the intended person, and at the other end the transparencies received person can decrypt the transparencies using our tool, thus gets the original image. Our proposed Visual cryptography provides the demonstration to the users to show how encryption and decryption can be done to the images. In this technology, the end user identifies an image, which is not the correct image. That is, while transmitting the image the sender will encrypt the image using our application here sender gets the two or more transparencies of the same image. Our application provides an option to the end user of encryption. The end user can divide the original image into number of different images. Using our application we can send encrypted images that are in the format of GIF and PNG. The encrypted transparencies can be saved in the machine and can be sent to the intended person by other means [source].

TL;DR: This paper presents a survey on various image watermarking techniques based on visual cryptography, a technique in which secret data is decomposed into a number of shares and distributed to participants so that only participants can read that data.
Abstract: The development of information technologies has increased tremendously, thus multimedia data as digital images require security measures when used on the internet. Image watermarking is a widely used technique for copyright protection and integrity control. To provide more security and to protect the host image quality, researchers have been using the visual cryptography concept combining with the watermarking technique. Visual cryptography is a technique in which secret data is decomposed into a number of shares and distributed to participants so that only participants can read that data. Following this concept, image watermarking based on visual cryptography allows a protection by constructing secret and public shares without altering the original image. Therefore, in this paper, we present a survey on various image watermarking techniques based on visual cryptography.

TL;DR: A system which uses genetic algorithm along with Visual Cryptography to shuffle pixel location of image so that detection of secret information become complex in secure data transmission.
Abstract: Steganography is method of data hiding behind multimedia file such as text, image, audio and video. For enhancing the security of data hiding and transmission over network, this paper proposed system which uses genetic algorithm along with Visual Cryptography. Plain text is converted into cipher text by using any cipher then it is hidden in LSB of image. Genetic Algorithm is used to shuffle pixel location of image so that detection of secret information become complex. Pixel locations are shuffled using Scan code algorithm. Visual cryptography is kind of encryption technique which divide secret image into multiple shares to ensure improved security and reliability. General Terms Secure data transmission.

TL;DR: The different existing models of visual cryptography with digital watermarking are reviewed and the different issues in the existing model are compared with respect to implementation, advantages, disadvantages and their sustainability in case of different attacks.
Abstract: In today's world of digital communication it is must to provide the security to the digital media. As digital media is used in almost all types of communication, security of this media plays important role to keep the integrity the original media. One such technique used to provide the security of digital media is combination of visual cryptography with digital watermarking. This paper reviews the different existing models of visual cryptography with digital watermarking. The different issues in the existing model are also compared with respect to implementation, advantages, disadvantages and their sustainability in case of different attacks. Further the applications of visual cryptography with digital watermarking are also mentioned.

TL;DR: This paper proposes construction of EVCS by embedding the random shares (result of VCS) into covering images, and empirical results revealed that the proposed EVCS is more secure and flexible than the EVCSs found in literature.
Abstract: Visual Cryptography facilitates hiding a secret image into n number of shares distributed to n number of participants. This kind of scheme is very useful as the participants in such security systems need not know the cryptographic knowledge in order to recover the secret image from the shares. This phenomenon is known as VCS (Visual Cryptography Scheme). An extended VCS is the one which is capable of generating meaningful shares when compared with the shares of the VCS. This paper proposes construction of EVCS by embedding the random shares (result of VCS) into covering images. The empirical results revealed that the proposed EVCS is more secure and flexible than the EVCSs found in literature. Index Terms: VCS, random shares, covering shares, secret sharing.
