TL;DR: In this article, a complementary-defected ground structure (DGS) common stopband filter is proposed, which utilizes mutual inductance and mutual capacitance that exists among the DGS patterns to improve the in-band gain-flatness of the filter.
Abstract: A complementary-defected ground structure (DGS) common stopband filter is proposed. The filter uses two kinds of DGS patterns: a $\Pi$ -shaped DGS pattern is used in both sides of the filter and a button-headed H-shaped DGS pattern is adopted at the middle of the filter. The filter utilizes the mutual inductance and mutual capacitance that exists among the DGS patterns to improve the in-band gain-flatness of the filter, which is useful to broaden the bandwidth and improve the rejection ratio in the low cutoff frequency. The simulated and measured results show that the differential signal under the DGS filter is nearly intact and the common-mode noise can be reduced by 15 dB from 3.2 to 12.4 GHz. The area of the filter is only 10 mm × 10 mm. The fractional bandwidth of the stopband can reach 118%.

TL;DR: In this article, a universal currentmode biquadratic filter with single input and three outputs using three multiple outputs second-generation current conveyors (MOCCIIs), four resistors and two grounded capacitors is presented.
Abstract: A universal current-mode biquadratic filter with single input and three outputs using three multiple outputs second-generation current conveyors (MOCCIIs), four resistors and two grounded capacitors is presented. The filter can realize lowpass, highpass and bandpass responses, simultaneously. The notch and allpass responses can also be obtained by interconnection of relevant output currents.

11 Jun 1991TL;DR: In this article, a general class of current amplifier-based biquadratic filter circuits is presented which is capable of realizing arbitrary filter functions including the lowpass, highpass, and the bandpass transfer function.
Abstract: A general class of current amplifier-based biquadratic filter circuits is presented which is capable of realizing arbitrary filter functions including the lowpass, highpass, and the bandpass transfer function. These realizations are derived from a class of well-known low sensitivity single amplifier biquadratic (SAB) filter circuits using the principle of adjoint networks. The salient features of the proposed current amplifier filter circuits are that they are synthesized using the same procedure circuits as their op-amp based SAB circuit counterparts, and furthermore, possess the same sensitivities to component variations as the original SAB circuits. >

TL;DR: In this paper, two topologies based on placing the lowpass filters either into or out of the coupled rings have been considered and a harmonic suppression ratio of > 32 dB in a flat bandpass filter centred at 2.44 GHz is obtained.
Abstract: Microstrip multistage coupled ring resonator bandpass filters using stepped impedance lowpass filters to suppress higher harmonics have been investigated. Two topologies based on placing the lowpass filters either into or out of the coupled rings have been considered. A harmonic suppression ratio of > 32 dB in a flat bandpass filter centred at 2.44 GHz is obtained. A practical implementation has shown very good filter characteristics with a very flat bandpass, insertion loss 32 dB.
