TL;DR: In this paper, water column dissolved oxygen, sulfide, nitrate and nitrite, pore water profiles for dissolved sulfide and sulfate, 35 S-sulfate reduction rates, as well as bacterial counts of large sulfur bacteria from 20 stations across the continental shelf and slope.

TL;DR: A series of phenyltins and butyltin were determined in the water column, sediment, and biota of two freshwater marinas of Lake Lucerne, Switzerland as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A series of phenyltins and butyltins were determined in the water column, sediment, and biota of two freshwater marinas of Lake Lucerne, Switzerland. Considerable concentrations of triphenyltin (TPT), diphenyltin (DPT), and monophenyltin (MPT) were found for the first time in all the compartments. In addition, tributyltin (TBT), dibutyltin (DBT), and monobutyltin (MBT) occurred in significant concentrations

TL;DR: In this paper, watershed and lake chemistry data for 80 lake watersheds in the study region of northeastern Minnesota including the Superior National Forest, Voyageurs National Park, and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness are determined.
Abstract: Mercury concentrations in precipitation, lake water and sediment, zooplankton, and fish were measured and analyzed together with extensive watershed and lake chemistry data for 80 lake watersheds in the study region of northeastern Minnesota including the Superior National Forest, Voyageurs National Park, and Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. Atmospheric deposition of mercury, transport, water column lifetimes, and sedimentation in lakes are determined. The factors relating mercury concentrations within the lake watershed components are analyzed and discussed

••
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used high-resolution patterns of iron and sulfur speciation, stable sulfur isotope discrimination, and trace element enrichment from black shale sequences of Sites 1258 and 1260 to identify alterations of the depositional environment during the Cenomanian/Turonian boundary Event (OAE 2) in the southern North Atlantic (ODP Leg 207, Demerara Rise).

TL;DR: This study analyzes how environmental conditions occurring in the NW Mediterranean, at local and seasonal scales, contribute to determine the temporal and spatial patterns of fish reproductive activity in the region.
