Abstract: The main purpose of the paper is to determine changes in transport behaviour of users of the public bike-share (PBS) scheme in a large Polish city, Łodź. By tracking GPS signals for individual trips taken by PBS users, it was possible to analyse their changeability (time and spatial) for periods before the implementation of statutory Sunday retail restrictions (2017) and after their partial introduction (2018). The study also took into account weather conditions, namely maximum and minimum daily temperatures and daily totals of precipitation recorded by a weather station in Łodź. In order to determine the correlations between certain weather conditions and PBS trips, the authors applied regression analysis. The results of the study showed that weekend cycling is less susceptible to the impact of weather than cycling on weekdays. At the same time, a comparative analysis of trading and non-trading Sundays proved that, during Sundays with retail restrictions, public bikes were used for longer, farther, and slower trips. These observations were confirmed by analyses of maps of traffic structure.

TL;DR: In the outdoor runs, protection against rain and wind could promote their use under temperate weather conditions, and ensuring optimized access to solar radiation by considering the exposure of the outdoor run might be of advantage, as direct sun exposure induces warmer conditions.

TL;DR: In this article, several neural network models have been developed and assessed (Multilayer perceptron -MLP-, Support Vector Machines -SVM-, Extreme Learning Machine, Convolutional Neural Networks -CNN- and Long Short-Term Memory -LSTM-) with different temperature-based input variables configurations in Southern Spain (weather station located in the Mediterranean Sea coast).
Abstract: One of the most crucial variables in Agricultural Meteorology is Solar Radiation (Rs), although it is measured in a very limited number of weather stations due to its high cost in both installation and maintenance. Moreover, the quality of the data is usually low because of sensor failure and/or lack of calibration, which made scientists search for new approaches such as neural network models. Thus, the improvement of traditional solar radiation estimation models with minimum data availability is still needed for different purposes. In this work, several neural network models have been developed and assessed (Multilayer perceptron -MLP-, Support Vector Machines -SVM-, Extreme Learning Machine, Convolutional Neural Networks -CNN- and Long Short-Term Memory -LSTM-) with different temperature-based input variables configurations in Southern Spain (weather station located in the Mediterranean Sea coast). The performances have been analyzed using different statistical indices (Root Mean Square Error -RMSE-, Mean Bias Error -MBE-, correlation coefficient -R2- and Nash-Sutcliffe model efficiency coefficient -NSE-).

TL;DR: In this article, a statistical downscaling model forecasting factor screening method is proposed, which comprises the steps that 1) a positional relationship graph between a weather station and a grid in a river basin is established; 2) the correlation among measured rainfall of each station, temperature and other predictand and a reanalysis data atmospheric circulation factor is deduced, including the correlation with the grid of the weather station, and correlation with surrounding grids, and appropriate factors are selected according to a set correlation coefficient threshold; 3 the change of a criterion certainty coefficient in a calibration period on monthly,
Abstract: The invention relates to a statistical downscaling model forecasting factor screening method. The method comprises the steps that 1 a positional relationship graph between a weather station and a gridin a river basin is established; 2 the correlation among measured rainfall of each station, temperature and other predictand and a reanalysis data atmospheric circulation factor is deduced, includingthe correlation with the grid of the weather station and the correlation with surrounding grids, and appropriate factors are selected according to a set correlation coefficient threshold; 3 the change of a criterion certainty coefficient in a calibration period on monthly, seasonal and annual scales is analyzed; and 4 according to different scales and different factor selection methods in the step 3, a model is analyzed and tested.

TL;DR: In this paper, weather data from sources like the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute is passed on to an LW station with a data server and a LW transmitter along a data transmission path.
Abstract: Weather data from sources like the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute is passed on to an LW station with a data server and LW transmitter along a data transmission path. Data is compiled as data transmission protocols in a data server, then beamed out by the LW transmitter with available regional weather details, RDS protocols, details on type of message, transmission times and very exact clock times. A PWS receiver calls up such information selectively. Weather station consists of an LW data receiver, power management, a display device with special weather characters lines of text and a processor with operating elements. Regional weather information and weather reports can be selectively requested via these operating elements.
