TL;DR: The work presents a simple blueprint of ant based control of semantic web and throws the ideas of open challenges for future research.
Abstract: Semantic Web brings the idea of structuring information available across the web in a meaningful way improving search mechanisms and thus resulting in user satisfaction. This paper initially explores the literature that has been done to improve the performance of Semantic Web (SW) through Ants where ants are hypothetical sophisticated agents that carry information and moreover have the tendency of learning through experiences. Semantic Web along with Ants creates an environment that can achieve the vision of making node able to understand, relate and use information available in a given situation. The work presents a simple blueprint of ant based control of semantic web and throws the ideas of open challenges for future research.

TL;DR: The structure of the new system, its hypertext nature built-in tutorial exercises and self assessment modules are presented and a review of the enabling technology and reasons for its adoption are given.
Abstract: This paper describes the development of hypertext based open-learning and assessment materials for the teaching of software engineering. The system, created in the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Sunderland is available via the WorldWideWeb (the Web) and permits the delivery of the teaching material over the global academic computer network, the Internet (the Net). The system permits the incorporation of CASE tools into the hypertext environment to facilitate practical S.E. tutorial activity Current practices in teaching Software Engineering at Sunderland are reviewed along with the problems they present such as high staff/student ratios and low contact time between staff and individual students. The teaching materials and modes of delivery are discussed and the rationale for the development of the new system presented "State-of-the-art" networking technology has been used for the preparation and delivery of the new material. A review of the enabling technology and reasons for its adoption is given as well as a description of the finished delivery system and an account its development Whilst the original teaching material was appropriate for traditional methods of delivery, it had to be radically altered for the new system. The structure of the new system, its hypertext nature built-in tutorial exercises and self assessment modules are presented. TL;DR: This paper proposes several data processing tools based on the concept of advanced information sources, and tries to distinguish the data-centric view from the presentation view of the Web.
Abstract: Although keyword-based search algorithms usually do their jobs well, they may sometimes yield weird results. Despite of the fact that theWeb is the largest database, comparing to relational databases, the set of search operations for the Web is still primitive. This paper proposes two ways to remedy this: first, advanced information sources should be created. The role of advanced information sources of the Web is analogous to views of relational databases. Second, we propose several data processing tools based on the concept of advanced information sources. With these two mechanisms, the researcher tries to distinguish the data-centric view from the presentation view of the Web. In the paper, both the concept and an implementation are proposed.
