TL;DR: Mariategui's Seven Interpretive Essays on Peruvian Reality is still considered a classical reference work, indispensable for understanding the political and economical structures of postcolonial Peru and, indirectly, of Latin America as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Jose Carlos Mariategui is the most prominent Marxist thinker of 20th century Latin America. His Seven Interpretive Essays on Peruvian Reality is still considered a classical reference work, indispensable for understanding the political and economical structures of postcolonial Peru and, indirectly, of Latin America. His works range from a modern socialist project based on a critical understanding of modern colonialism and imperialism, an economic analysis of the development of capitalism, the feudal structures of property, and the growing social conflicts in his native Peru. Less well known is his exploration of the future geopolitical situation of Latin American peoples and cultures vis-a-vis Asia. His intellectual position can be summarized in one sentence: "Spiritually and materially, China is closer to us than Europe." This article deepens the notion of the "Oriental dimension" of Latin American cultures and its roots in anti-colonial, antiimperialist, and socialist movements until today. It then challenges both the modern traditional Eurocentric Westernization of Latin American cultures, as well as the neoconservative strategies of "Western-hemispheric" mapping of Latin American cultures and peoples.

TL;DR: The disintegration of the Yalta system and the creation of the multipolar system became a challenge for shaping new directions in Turkey's foreign policy, and at the same time weakened its links with the Western allies as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Since the founding of the republic in 1923, Turkey has been geared towards westernization and building close contacts with European states. Even after the end of World War II and the emergence of the bipolar system, it decided on membership of the capitalist bloc as an ally within NATO and aspired to membership in the European Communities. The disintegration of the Yalta system and the creation of the multipolar system became a challenge for shaping new directions in Turkey’s foreign policy, and at the same time weakened its links with the Western allies. Ankara has started to believe uncritically in its own potential and capacity to act as a regional power and Eurasian state that was building its influence in the area of the former Ottoman Empire. It seems, however, that uncritical self-esteem and excessive ambition have outstripped the possibilities of Turkish politicians

TL;DR: Wang et al. as discussed by the authors developed a dynamic dialogue between authoritative Western literary theory and traditional Chinese literary theory, which manifested distinct features of modernity: vernacular written language, academic institutionalization, cultural explicitness, revolutionary radicalness, Westernization of inner system and implicit Chinese traditions.
Abstract: Being in accord with the great transformation of modern Chinese literature, modern Chinese literary theory is formed against the backdrop of changing modern cultural values in modern China. The multi-roles it has played in modern Chinese society include cultural intervention, social act, and construction of anesthetic experience and literary appreciation. It thus, through a dynamic dialogue between authoritative Western literary theory and traditional Chinese literary theory, manifests distinct features of modernity: vernacular written language, academic institutionalization, cultural explicitness, revolutionary radicalness, Westernization of inner system, and implicit Chinese traditions. It also has developed to a new stage where the localization of Western literary theory in China needs to be constructed and addressed.
