Abstract: The rising issue regarding the decline in organizational commitment of employees is nowadays a primary concern of employers and also HR department of any organization. These issues are observedin the entry level jobsmore densely where the socialization process takes place and in such area the newcomers feel deprived of any kind and every kind of facility. A fresh graduate joining into the workforce faces new challenges every day and mostly the Work-Life balance issue which is related to his or her job satisfaction and ultimately commitment towards his organization. The aim of this study is to identify the factors, especially the thoughts of employees regarding their Work-Life balance in an entry level job. Abstract: The ongoing health crisis has impacted businesses worldwide, drastically reducing production, consumption and distribution of goods and services, leading to an economic downturn. An increasing unemployment rate has led to a surge in the sense of job insecurity among employees. Lack of job security has a direct impact on an employee’s health and work–life balance. This article focusses on the relationship between and impact of job insecurity on work–life balance, that is, to understand the impact of perceived job insecurity on working hours, employee’s health and reduced family time. Using a self-completed questionnaire, data was collected from 413 employees from different sectors like construction, banks, hospitals, hotels, schools, FMCG, telecommunication, etc., in India, which assisted in testing five hypotheses. The study found a positive relationship between job insecurity and health issues and work–life conflict. Additionally, job insecurity was negatively linked with job performance. Regression analysis showed mediating effects of work demand, work time, family time and family demand on the relationship of job insecurity with health issues, job performance and work–life conflict. However, the article also discusses various effective mechanisms to reduce job insecurity and ways to curb its negative impacts on various organizational and personal outcomes.

Abstract: Work-life balance has emerged as a major business issue due to growing interest by professionals in seeking satisfaction from non-work activities. Work-life balance is about the allocation of people’s time between job, household obligations, and personal pursuits in an effort to achieve harmony between career and the other parts of life. Examination of professionals’ perception of work-life balance has shown that a healthy work-life balance results in higher job satisfaction and work performance, and positively affects ethicality. This study extends prior research on the work-life balance views of prospective accountants and other business professionals by examining factors that are associated with individual interest in achieving work-life balance such as religiosity, field of study, ethicality, and political views. Findings indicate that future accountants and business professionals place high value on work-life balance. With regard to spirituality, more religious persons expressed greater concern about work-life balance than less religious persons. A notable correlation was found between work-life balance perspectives and a person’s ethicality.
