Abstract: Aims: Employees are one of the crucial factors in a company. Company must be able to pay attention to the physical and mental needs of the employee to obtain good performance. Work environment and work-life balance are the factors that affect the employees’ performance and job satisfaction. This research aims to identify the effect of the work environment and work-life balance on the job satisfaction of the employee’s millennial generation which is mediated by stress. Study Design: Explanatory Research. Place and Duration of Study: millennials and have worked in Indonesia, between October 2022 and November 2022. Methodology: The method of collecting the data is by using a questionnaire through a purposive sampling technique. The use of Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) with the tool of AMOS 26. Sample: We included 206 respondents (80 men, 126 women; age range 20-35 years). Results: The result of this research indicates that the work environment and work-life balance have a negative and significant effect on work stress but a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction. Meanwhile, work stress has a negative and significant positive relation to job satisfaction when mediated by work stress. Conclusion: This research reveals that work stress has a direct or indirect relationship to one's job satisfaction. Based on the research that has been done, it is known that the work environment and work-life balance are several factors that make workers feel satisfied with their jobs. They will experience work stress, where job stress is a mediator that will indirectly affect one's job satisfaction.

Abstract: Orientation: In today’s fast-paced workplace, the notion of work-life balance is becoming increasingly relevant. Work-life balance has emerged as a critical area of human resource management, attracting the attention of government, researchers, and professionals in search of innovative ways to boost employee morale, retain employees, and provide employers with tools to help them achieve a better work-life balance. Employees’ emotional and physical health’s are both affected by an unhealthy work environment. Stress was viewed as a sign of weakness in many businesses.Research purpose: This study investigates the mediating effect of occupational stress on the relationship between work-life balance (WLB) and organisational work environment among academics, as well as the moderating effect of demographic variables such as gender, job levels, and marital status of this relationship.Research approach/design and method: Using a survey method, primary data was collected from academics working in India. A structured questionnaire was drafted and introduced as a method for data collection. Respondents were chosen using a judgemental sampling method. To test the hypothesis, the mediating effect and moderating effect were used, and the statistical regression analysis was done with the help of Professor Andrew’s process macro and partial least squares smart (PLS).Main findings: The organisational work environment had a significant impact on the WLB of academics employed at higher education institutes in India. When comparing male and female academics, the effect of the organisational work environment on occupational stress was found to be higher for female academics. For academics at various job levels, the impact of the organisational work environment on occupational stress was found to be significant. Marital status had no significant moderating association effect on academics between WLB, occupational stress, and organisational work environment.Implications: Institutions are encouraged to provide family-friendly policies and create a good work environment for academics that helps decrease the stress level, improve the WLB and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of academics.Contribution: An investigation into relationships between work-life balance, occupational stress and working environment holds a number of implications in the management of educational set-up. This research might be very useful to school administrators in terms of improving work-life balance and reducing occupational stress among academics, in order to create a work environment that everyone is glad to be a part of. As a result, academic institutions’ organisational efficiency and effectiveness will improve.

Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has become a critical concern for the health nursing industry, especially in the city of Jakarta, due to the very high population density of the city of Jakarta. This pandemic has placed a huge burden on nursing professionals as the frontlines deal directly with such a huge disaster. How can Workplace Resources combat the challenges of increasing Job Demands and provide a healthy Work-Life Balance? So that nurses get Job Satisfaction during this pandemic. This study aims to analyze the mediating role of Work-Life Balance on the effect of Job Demand and Workplace Resources on Job Satisfaction. The data used in this study is cross-sectional, namely data collected on selected respondents at a certain time. The research sample consisted of 301 nurses from eight hospitals in Jakarta who received covid-19 patients. The data analysis used for hypothesis testing was the Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis with the help of SmartPLS 2.0 software. The results showed an effect of Job Demand and Workplace Resources on Work-Life Balance. There was an effect of Work-Life Balance on Job Satisfaction, and the Work-Life Balance variable was proven to mediate the effect of Job Demand and Workplace Resources on Job Satisfaction. Hospitals Management needs to calculate the maximum number of patients that nurses can handle and give them autonomy so they can make changes to work methods. Also, encourage nurse supervisors to help deal with stress in the workplace by maintaining a work-life balance. Nurses support nurse supervisors to provide recognition for nurses who perform well to increase job satisfaction.

Abstract: Work from home has become a new normal because of COVID pandemic in the business world. However, as the world is recovering from the pandemic through normalizing the business activities, it has posed a tough challenge for existing staff. Keeping a work life balance is an important aspect for the business organizations. The case firm is Oman Arab Bank (OAB), and the research work will emphasize on the issues and challenges of online work from home. Due to technological innovations, work from home allowed flexibility and personalization to the existing staff. The recent pandemic has highlighted the benefits and challenges of working from home. The research paper will use convenient sampling by targeting OAB employees from head office for their working from home. The purpose of this study is to investigate how OAB employees collaborate online work from home (WFH) during pandemic. Shift of working culture will be analyzed based on employee satisfaction levels. Secondary data will be analyzed based on critical literature review of WFH and its issues and challenges faced by employees.
