TL;DR: In this article, disulfonamide derivatives of fluorene, anthracene, xanthene, dibenzosuberone and acridine, and similar heterocyclic ring structures are discussed.
Abstract: Chemical agents, such as disulfonamide derivatives of fluorene, anthracene, xanthene, dibenzosuberone and acridine, and similar heterocyclic ring structures; including, salts thereof that act as anti-cancer and anti-tumor agents, along with methods for preparing such agents, as well as pharmaceutical compositions containing such agents as active ingredients and methods of using these as therapeutic agents.

TL;DR: It is demonstrated on a model system, that the selectivity of reactions based on 1,3-dioxy-substituted quinones can be efficiently controlled by the addition of Lewis acid (AlMe 3 ), which chelates the substrate by the two oxygens.
Abstract: Highly regioselective Diels–Alder reactions of a non-protected β -hydroxy quinone have been achieved after formation of chelated lithium alkoxides. In this report, we demonstrate on a model system, that the selectivity of reactions based on 1,3-dioxy-substituted quinones can be efficiently controlled by the addition of Lewis acid (AlMe 3 ), which chelates the substrate by the two oxygens.

TL;DR: In this paper, a single phosphorus ligand PC-Phos of a xanthene framework was presented. But the preparation method of the ligand was not discussed, and only the preconditioning procedure was described.
Abstract: The invention discloses a novel single phosphorus ligand PC-Phos of a xanthene framework. The ligand is a compound as shown in a formula (1) or an enantiomer, racemate or diastereoisomer of the compound as shown in the specification. The invention further discloses a preparation method of the ligand. A formula 2 and a formula 4 as shown in the specification serve as raw materials, and substitution reaction, addition reaction, condensation reaction and reduction reaction are performed to prepare the ligand. Alternatively, a formula 6 and the formula 4 as shown in the specification serve as raw materials, are subjected to condensation reaction and subjected to addition reaction with a formula as shown in the specification to prepare the ligand. Chiral sulfonamide 4 with two structures and different types of metallic reagents are subjected to addition reaction, and optical voidness of four full structures 1 (S, Rs), 1 (R, Rs), 1 (S, Ss) and 1 (R, Ss) of the chiral single phosphorus ligand can be obtained. The invention further discloses an application of the ligand to asymmetric cyclization reaction in catalytic allene amine molecules. The ligand has quite high reaction activity, stereo-selectivity and wide application values.

TL;DR: In this paper, LaCl 3 /ClCH 2 COOH was used as an efficient and recyclable catalytic system for synthesis of 8H-benzo[a]xanthe, hexahydro-1H-xanthene and pyran-10,12(11H)-dione derivatives via a one-pot three-component reaction of aldehydes, 2-naphthol, and cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds.
Abstract: LaCl 3 /ClCH 2 COOH was used as an efficient, and recyclable catalytic system for synthesis of 8H-benzo[a]xanthe, hexahydro-1H-xanthene and pyran-10,12(11H)-dione derivatives via a one-pot three-component reaction of aldehydes, 2-naphthol, and cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds. The reactions proceeded rapidly at 70 o C under solvent-free conditions and the desired products were obtained in good to excellent yields.
