TL;DR: In the title compound, C25H27NO5, each of the cyclohexenone rings adopts a half-chair conformation, whereas the six-membered pyran ring adopTS a flattened boat conformation.
Abstract: In the title compound, C25H27NO5, each of the cyclohexenone rings adopts a half-chair conformation, whereas the six-membered pyran ring adopts a flattened boat conformation, with the O and methine C atoms deviating from the plane of the other four atoms. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link molecules into chains parallel to the c axis.

TL;DR: In this paper, it has been found that films of polymer composites based on polyvinyl alcohol doped with a xanthene dye possess photovoltaic properties, and the response varies little at the dye concentration greater than 10 wt % with respect to the weight of the polymer.
Abstract: It has been found that films of polymer composites based on polyvinyl alcohol doped with a xanthene dye possess photovoltaic properties, and the photovoltaic response varies little at the dye concentration greater than 10 wt % with respect to the weight of the polymer. The photovoltaic effect is due to photogeneration of charge carriers in the dye aggregates and transport of nonequilibrium charge carriers among them. It is concluded that, in order to reduce the production cost of photoactive media for photovoltaic cells, it is possible to use cheap polymers with a low concentration of organic dyes.

TL;DR: In this paper, a zeolite L crystal is interlaced with chromophores, where the chromophore may be a cationic xanthene-based dye, a cyanine based dye, pyronine or a perylene based dye such as N,N'-bis (2,6-dimethylphenyl)perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide (DXP) or perylene-(dicarboximide) (PDI).
Abstract: A zeolite L crystal is interlaced with chromophores wherein the zeolite L crystal has a channel length of between 30 and 10000 nm. Preferably the chromophore is intercalated in the quantity of 20 to 7000 chromophores per channel. The crystal is prepared by mixing a solution of chromophore with zeolite L crystal, heating the solution at a reduced pressure and removing the non-intercalated chromophores from the solution. The chromophore may be a cationic xanthene based dye, a cyanine based dye, pyronine or a perylene based dye such as N,N'-bis (2,6-dimethylphenyl)perylene-3,4,9,10-tetracarboxylic diimide (DXP) or perylene-3,4:9,10-bis(dicarboximide) (PDI). The intercalation of the conjugated molecules leads to J type aggregation of the conjugated molecules within the channels of the zeolite L crystals affording unique fluorescent properties. The crystals can be used as a material for optoelectronic devices.

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of a fluorane compound with an alkyl halide is followed by esterification, then the product is reduced with a reducing agent such as sodium borohydride to give the compound of formula I.
Abstract: NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I (R 1 , R 2 are H, alkyl, tetrahydrofurfuryl, phenyl, benzyl or they may bind with each other to form a ring; R 3 , R 6 are H, Cl, F alkyl, alkoxy; R 4 , R 5 are H, Cl, F alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl, benzyl, amino; R 7 is alkyl, phenyl, benzyl; X is H, Cl, F, nitro, alkyl; n is 1W4). EXAMPLE: 2-(2-Chlorophenyl)-amino-6-N, N-dibutylamino-9-(2-methoxy-carbonyl)- phenylxanthene. USE: An image-forming agent. PREPARATION: The reaction of a fluorane compound of formula II with an alkyl halide is followed by esterification, then the product is reduced with a reducing agent such as sodium borohydride to give the compound of formula I.
