Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce xanthene which is industrially useful as a pharmaceutical intermediate, by a convenient process of reducing xanthone with tri-chloro-silane under the presence of a tertiary amine compound, or of reducing xanthone with a tri-alkyl silane compound under the presence of a strong acid having an acid dissociation constant (pKa) of 1 or less, and followed by hydrolyzing without isolating the produced silane compound, with high yield and high selectivity.SOLUTION: Provided is a process for producing xanthene by reducing xanthone with tri-chloro silane under the presence of a tertiary amine compound such as triethyl amine, tri-isopropyl amine or the like, or reducing with a tri-alkyl silane compound such as triethyl silane, tri-isopropyl silane or the like under the presence of a strong acid having an acid dissociation constant (pKa) of 1 or less such as tri-fluoro acetic acid, methane sulfonic acid or the like.SELECTED DRAWING: None

Abstract: PURPOSE: A photosensitive binder resin and a chemically amplified positive sensitive organic insulation film composition including the same are provided to have characteristics of an excellent sensitivity and film retention rate after the development. CONSTITUTION: A photosensitive binder resin comprises a repeating unit represented by Chemical formula 1. The average molecular weight of the binder resin is 500 to 50,000. The dispersion degree of the binder resin is 1.0 to 5.0. An organic insulation film composition includes the binder resin. The organic insulation film composition further includes 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a photo acid generator to 100 parts by weight of the binder resin. The photo acid generator is one kind or a mixture of more than two kinds selected from diazonium salt, phosphonium salt, sulfonium salt, iodonium salt, imide sulfonate, oxime sulfonate, azo disulfone, disulfone, ortho-nitrobenzylsulfonate and triazine compounds.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent aqueous ink for inkjet recording having high fluorescence intensity and free from reduction of fluorescence intensity with passage of time. SOLUTION: The fluorescent aqueous ink for inkjet recording contains a fluorescent dye having a xanthene skeleton, and a glycol. The fluorescent dye has ≥2.6 of a difference in the hydrophilicity index logP between a substituent bonding to a carbon atom on the 9th position of the xanthene skeleton and the other parts excluding the substituent bonding to the carbon atom on the 9th position. The distance between hydroxy groups of the glycol is substantially same to or more than the inter atomic distance of an atom directly bonded to the carbon atom on the 3rd position of the xanthene skeleton and an atom directly bonded to the carbon atom on the 6th position of the xanthene skeleton. The enhancement of the fluorescence intensity is understood as a result of increased electron density of the xanthene skeleton by the bridge like coordination of the glycol on the xanthene skeleton.
