TL;DR: In this article, the inters. for pharmacologically active diazepines of formula (Cpds. of formula) and their salts are new: (where R1 and R2 are H, MeO, MeS, CF3, halogen, NO2 or acetyl, one always being H; R3 is H, 1-3C alkyl or 2,2-diphenylethyl; R4 is H and R5 and R6 are H or CO(CH2)nNR5R6; n = 0
Abstract: 1-Aminoxanthone and -acridone derivs. of formula (I) and their salts are new: (where R1 and R2 are H, MeO, MeS, CF3, halogen, NO2 or acetyl, one always being H; R3 is H, 1-3C alkyl or 2,2-diphenylethyl; R4 is H, 1-3C alkyl or CO(CH2)nNR5R6; n = 0-3; R5 and R6 are H or 1-3C alkyl, or NR5R6 is phthalimido, provided that R5 and R6 are both H when n = 1; X is O, NH or NR7; R7 is 1-3C alkyl, aryl or 1-3C alkylene-NR8R9; R8 and R9 are 1-3C alkyl). Cpds. (I) have psychotherapeutic, antiphlogistic, antiallergic, spasmolytic, vasodilatory and/or local anaesthetic activity, and (I; R4 = COCH2NH2) are also useful as inters. for pharmacologically active diazepines of formula (II).
