Abstract: A series of xanthone 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives bearing a 2,3-lactone ring and a 2-acetoxymethyl group were prepared. The compounds were evaluated for inotropic, chronotropic and calcium antagonist properties. The introduction of a 2,3-lactone ring improved the negative inotropic activity and selectivity.

Abstract: The invention discloses application of a xanthone compound CCE9. The xanthone compound CCE9 is used for preparing a drug for treating cancer. By activating p38MAPK, Bcl-2 is phosphorylated, the conformation of Bcl-2 is changed, and Bax is activated, so that sub tumor cell apoptosis is induced. Therefore, the xanthone compound CCE9 can be used for preparing a drug taking Bcl-2 as an action target spot for treating cancer. In addition, Bcl-2 which is phosphorylated can be used as the action target spot for screening the xanthone compound.
