TL;DR: In this paper, three new xanthones were isolated from the bark of Garcinia dioica (Guttiferae) in addition to a known xanthone, 1, 3, 6-trihydroxy-8-geranyl-7-methoxyxanthone (rubraxanthone).
Abstract: Three new xanthones were isolated from the bark of Garcinia dioica (Guttiferae) in addition to a known xanthone, 1, 3, 6-trihydroxy-8-geranyl-7-methoxyxanthone (rubraxanthone). The structures of the three xanthones were elucidated to be 1, 3, 6-trihydroxy-8-(7-hydroxy-3, 7-dimethyl-2, 5-octadieyl)-7-methoxyxanthone, 1, 3, 6-trihydroxy-8-(6, 7-epoxy-3, 7-dimethyl-2-octenyl)-7-methoxyxanthone and 1, 3, 7-trihydroxy-2, 4-diisoprenylxanthone by the aid of spectroscopic analysis including the two dimensional NMR technique. The occurrence of xanthone with such a C10 alkyl chain is rare in naturally occurring compounds.

TL;DR: In this article, the datiscanin (datiscetin 3-rutinoside) was isolated from the herbage of Datisca cannabina L, and the structure of 2′,3,5,7,tetrahydroxyflavone 3-0-β-D-glucopyranoside has been established for it.
Abstract: The new flavonoid glycoside datiscanin has been isolated from the herbage ofDatisca cannabina L., and the structure of 2′,3,5,7-tetrahydroxyflavone 3-0-β-D-glucopyranoside has been established for it. After datiscin (datiscetin 3-rutinoside), this is the second datiscetin glycoside found in nature.

TL;DR: The 6-Acetyl-xanthone-2-carboxylic acid is illustrated as a representative compound and methods for preparing these compounds and compositions and intermediates therein are also disclosed as mentioned in this paper.
Abstract: Compositions containing and methods employing, as the essential ingredient, novel substituted xanthone carboxylic acid compounds which are useful in the treatment of allergic conditions. Methods for preparing these compounds and compositions and intermediates therein are also disclosed. 6-Acetyl-xanthone-2-carboxylic acid is illustrated as a representative compound.

TL;DR: A detiled chemical study on the stem bark extracts of Garcinia nitida has led to the isolation of five xanthones and two triterpenoids as discussed by the authors, which are 1,3,7-trihydroxy-2,4-bis(3-menthylbut-2-enyl)xanthone (1) osajaxanthore, (2) inophylin B, (3) 3-isomangostin, (4) rubraxanthone, (5) stigmasterol and stig masterol
Abstract: A detiled chemical study on the stem bark extracts of Garcinia nitida has led to the isolation of five xanthones and two triterpenoids. They are 1,3,7-trihydroxy-2,4-bis(3-menthylbut-2-enyl)xanthone (1) osajaxanthore, (2) inophylin B, (3) 3-isomangostin, (4) rubraxanthone, (5) stigmasterol and stigmasterol acetate. The structures of these compounds were established using mainly 1D and 2D NMR spectrocopy. Acetylation of rubraxanthone resulted in two new compounds, rubraxanthone monoacetate (6) and rubraxanthone diacetate (7) with rubraxanthone triacetate (8).
