TL;DR: The analysis of metabolic networks indicated that NPA-treatment induced moderate shifts in the networks compared to exogenous ethylene that induced a drastic shift in metabolic networks, and indicates that Npa-mediated physiological responses may vary in a species-specific fashion.

TL;DR: There were significant relationships between Cd concentrations and the ratios of ABA/IAA,ABA/GA3 and A BA/Z, indicating that Cd stress influenced not only the content of phytohormones but also their ratios and balance.
Abstract: Pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different Cd concentrations on seedling growth and the contents of indoleacetic acid(IAA),gibbrellins(GA3),zeatin(Z) and abscisic acid(ABA) of Glycine max plant by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) analytical method. The results indicated that the plant height and aboveground biomass of seedlings were not affected significantly by the lower Cd concentrations(≤0.50 mg·kg-1) but inhibited markedly at the higher Cd concentrations(≥2.50 mg·kg-1).However,at 0.50 mg·kg-1 of Cd concentration, the biomass of aerial parts in blooming period and root biomass were inhibited significantly.Cd stress inhibited the synthesis of indoleacetic acid(IAA) and zeatin(Z) at 0.25 mg·kg-1 of Cd concentration, and the contents of IAA and Z in leaves were 43.1% and 75.5% and 60.6% and 32.6% of that of the control in seedling and blooming period respectively.Cd could stimulate the synthesis of abscisic acid(ABA),when Cd concentration was 2.50 mg·kg-1,the contents of ABA in leaves in seedling and blooming period were 13.6 times and 3.86 times of that of the control respectively. The synthesis of gibbrellins(GA3) was stimulated at the lower Cd concentration(≤0.25 mg·kg-1) but was inhibited at the higher Cd concentration. There were significant relationships between Cd concentrations and the ratios of ABA/IAA,ABA/GA3 and ABA/Z,indicating that Cd stress influenced not only the content of phytohormones but also their ratios and balance.

TL;DR: The results showed that AM fungi could obviously influenced soluble sugar contents and endogenous hormone levels in host plants with colonization percentage changing.
Abstract: Through inoculating Amorpha fruiticosa with arbuscular mycorrhizal (AM) fungi and without, the dynamic characteristics of plant endogenous hormone levels, soluble sugar contents in roots and in leaves respectively were systemic studied. The results showed that AM fungi could obviously influenced soluble sugar contents and endogenous hormone levels in host plants with colonization percentage changing. Two kinds of AM fungi, Glomus mosseae and Glomus intraradices, were chose as tested strains to infect A. fruiticosa roots for forming the mycorrhizal complex using pot-experiment methods, and G. mosseae had a better colonization effect than G. intraradices on A. fruiticosa roots. After 70 days growth of A. fruiticosa seedings in the greenhouse, the colonization percentage of G. mosseae on hosts reached 88.5% that of the highest. The soluble sugar contents in roots and leaves of seedlings inoculated with AM fungi were significantly higher than control treatments, and had positive correlation with colonization percentage. AM fungi dramatically increased the contents of auxin (IAA), gibberellin (GA) and zeatin (ZR) in roots, but had litter impact on abscisic acid (ABA).

TL;DR: TDZ can be considered an interesting PGR for improving blueberry in vitro proliferation and regeneration efficiency, however, further studies should be carried out in order to verify phenotypic and genotypic stability of the new plants obtained.
Abstract: Introduction Zeatin (Reed et al., 1991) and Benzyladenine (Tirone et al., 2011) are the most important cytokinins used in commercial propagation of a large number of plants and also blueberry varieties. Due to the high costs of Zeatin several studies were aimed to test the efficiency of others growth regulators to induce proliferation and regeneration of different genotypes. TDZ resulted a really efficient alternative cytokinin-like compound for inducing leaf organogenesis in other soft fruit species like strawberry (Landi e Mezzetti, 2006) and for other biotecnological regeneration approach like promoting meristematic bulk, regeneration technique successfully used for other species like grape (Mezzetti et al., 2002). In this study, TDZ, alone or in combination with 2iP, was tested for inducing high shoot proliferation, leaf tissue organogenesis, callus formation in in vitro blueberry (Cv. Duke). TDZ induced a high callus formation at both concentration (0,2 and 0,5 mg l-1) tested, but if combined with 2iP (15 mg l-1) callus formation was inhibited and stems elongation promoted. The control, a medium supplemented with 2 mg l-1 of Zeatin (an example of commercial proliferation media), showed high elongation of the stems and a reduced proliferation rate in comparison with TDZ. TDZ can be considered an interesting PGR for improving blueberry in vitro proliferation and regeneration efficiency, however, further studies should be carried out in order to verify phenotypic and genotypic stability of the new plants obtained.
