Effect of water sorption on the structure and mechanical properties of an epoxy resin system
P. Nogueira,Carmen Ramírez,A. Torres,María José Abad,J. Cano,Joaquín López,I. López-Bueno,Luis Barral +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the characteristics of water sorption and diffusion in an amine-cured epoxy system based on tetraglycidyl diaminodiphenylmethane and a novolac glycidyl ether resin were studied as a function both of the polymer microstructure, known from previous works, and the temperature.
Journal ArticleDOI
Dynamic mechanical analysis
TL;DR: In this paper, the changes of dynamic mechanical properties during thermal degradation indicated a shift of the glass transition temperature (Tg) to higher temperatures and a decrease in the peak value of the dynamic loss factor with an increasing of aging time.
Journal ArticleDOI
Epoxy/POSS organic–inorganic hybrids: ATR-FTIR and DSC studies
TL;DR: In this article, an organic-inorganic hybrid nanocomposites were prepared by reaction of an octaepoxy-silsesquioxane, OECh, with an epoxy-amine system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Thermodegradation kinetics of a hybrid inorganic–organic epoxy system
Luis Barral,F. J. Díez,S. García-Garabal,Joaquín López,Belén Montero,R. Montes,Carmen Ramírez,Maite Rico +7 more
TL;DR: In this article, the lifetime of the epoxy system formed by diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A, DGEBA/4,4′-diaminediphenylmethane, DDM, modified with the silsesquioxane, glycidylisobutyl-POSS, was calculated from thermogravimetric analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic studies of the effect of ABS on the curing of an epoxy/cycloaliphatic amine resin
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors studied the kinetics of the cure reaction for an epoxy resin based on the diglycidyl ether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) modified with different contents of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) and cured with 1,3bisaminomethylcyclohexane (1,3-BAC).
