A magnetic tape cassette in which critical parts subject to wear are coated with a hard coating such as an ultraviolet-cured resin. Among other effects, the generation of rubbed-off powder is reduced, thereby reducing the amount of data drop-out. Also, the case of the cassette is protected from damage.

Magnetic-tape cassette

A single-reel magnetic tape cartridge has a cartridge casing and a single reel around which a magnetic tape is wound and which is contained in the cartridge casing for rotation, in which the magnetic tape is fixed at the leading edge thereof to a leader pin employed for extracting the magnetic tape from the cartridge and the flanges at the upper and lower ends of the leader pin are engaged by the lateral drawing force of a latch spring removably held in the tape cartridge casing. Even for cases in which there is a deviation in the insertion position in which leader pin is inserted by the record and playback apparatus, etc. causing the entry path of the leader pin into the cartridge casing to be off track, etc., it is still possible for the leader pin to be inserted into the cartridge casing. The incline angle, in relation to the insertion direction of the leader pin, at the point at which the flanges of the leader pin are brought into abutment with the guide surface of the latch spring is set within the range of 30°±5°.

Magnetic tape cartridge

A magnetic disk cartridge including a flexible magnetic disk, a hub, disk-holding protrusions, and an anti slip-out member. The hub has a disk-holding surface on which the central portion of the magnetic disk is held. The disk-holding protrusions are formed on the disk-holding surface of the hub, and are inserted through holes formed in the magnetic disk. The anti slip-out member is used to prevent the magnetic disk from slipping out from the disk-holding protrusions.

Magnetic disk cartridge

The present invention provides a curable composition, comprising: a (meth)acrylate urethane compound derived from a polypropylene glycol or a propyleneoxide ethyleneoxide copolymer glycol having a molecular weight between 1,000 and 13,000 and an amount of unsaturation less than 0.01 meq/g. The liquid curable resin composition of the present invention has improved liquid stability and can produce cured products having superior mechanical characteristics by polymerization. The composition further comprises preferably a primary or secondary amine. The liquid curable resin composition can be used as a coating material for optical fibers, adhesives, and the like. The composition is particularly suitable as a coating material for optical fibers for which long-term stability is required.

A magnetic recording disk cartridge comprises a recording disk and a causing for accommodating the recording disk. The cartridge is provided with a shutter member for closing the magnetic head receiving openings in the casing. The shutter member is mounted in the casing for pivotal movement along the inner surface of the casing between an operative position in which it closes the magnetic head receiving opening and an inoperative position in which it opens the same. The shutter member is provided with projections on the surface facing the inner surface of the casing and slides on the projections along the inner surface of the casing when it is moved between the operative position and the inoperative position.

Magnetic recording disk cartridge

A magnetic recording tape cassette includes a cassette casing for accommodating a pair of hubs around which a magnetic recording tape is wound. The casing is provided, in the front face thereof, with a magnetic head receiving opening and a pair of tape guide member receiving openings on opposite sides of the magnetic head receiving opening. A pair of resiliently displaceable tape supports are provided in the casing to be opposed to the respective tape guide member receiving openings. The tape supports cause the tape to span the magnetic head receiving opening in parallel to the front face of the casing when the cassette is not loaded in a tape recorder. The tape recorder is provided with a pair of tape guide members which are on opposite sides of the magnetic head and are inserted into the tape guide member receiving openings when the cassette is loaded into the tape recorder. Each tape guide member has a pair of collars spaced from each other by a distance substantially equal to the tape width and smaller than the length of the tape support. When the tape guide members are inserted into the corresponding openings, the collars push the tape supports away from the tape with the tape being accommodated between the collars. The tape is guided by the tape guide members during recording and reproduction.

Magnetic recording tape cassette

A miniaturized video tape cassette having flangeless tape winding hubs. Each hub is composed of an inner drum loosely fitted within an outer drum with torque transmitted between the drums via arms extending from the inner drum and fitting into corresponding slots in the outer drum. A groove is formed between the inner and outer drums which is disposed around a cylindrical support extending from the lower cassette half. Teeth are provided in the hub and cassette which engage to hold the tape stationary when the cassette is not in use. A spring biases the hubs towards the engaged position except when the cassette is loaded with into a video tape machine in which case the hubs are lifted away from the teeth of the cassette.
