Journal ArticleDOI
Applications for Metal−Organic Frameworks (MOFs) as Quantum Dot Semiconductors
TL;DR: The structure of MOF-5 is considered as being constructed of discrete semiconductor Zn4O13 quantum dots stabilized and interconnected by terephthalate linkers.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrothermal stabilization of ZSM-5 catalytic-cracking additives by phosphorus addition
TL;DR: In this paper, a chemical model for the phosphorus-zeolite interaction is proposed in which the framework aluminum pairs are stabilized by extra-framework cationic species formed by protonation of orthophosphoric acid, and the influence of isolated versus pairs of aluminum on activity and selectivity after steaming is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and characterization of the MCM-22 zeolite
TL;DR: In this paper, a hexamethylenimine as a template was used for the synthesis of MCM-22, a unique phase and with good crystallinities in a range of different SiO 2 Al 2 O 3 ratios using hexamethylammonine as the template.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of base properties of hydrotalcites: Condensation of benzaldehyde with ethyl acetoacetate
TL;DR: In this article, the authors carried out the condensation of benzaldehyde with activated methylenic groups with different pK values, in the presence of a MgAl hydrotalcite catalyst.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis and Structural Characterization of MWW Type Zeolite ITQ-1, the Pure Silica Analog of MCM-22 and SSZ-25
TL;DR: In this article, the synthesis of pure silica MWW type zeolite ITQ-1 using trimethyladamantammonium (TMAda+) is described, and the reproducibility of the synthesis, as well as the quality of the materials obtained, is greatly improved if the synthesis is assisted by hexamethyleneimine (HMI) as a second organic additive.
