Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical and structural properties of electrodeposited copper and their relation with the electrodeposition parameters

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of current density on microhardness through its effect on grain size has been found to obey the Hall-Petch relationship in the nanometer range.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electrochemical and mechanical properties of polypyrrole coatings on steel

TL;DR: In this article, the influence of preparation method on the morphology, mechanical properties and the behaviour against corrosion of polypyrrole films was investigated, and the best mechanical properties (Universal microhardness, Young's modulus and elastic recovery) have been those corresponding to a coating obtained at constant current and thermally treated at 80°C during 1 day.
Journal ArticleDOI

Electroactive polymer films for stainless steel corrosion protection

TL;DR: In this article, polyaniline, poly-o-toluidine and a composite of both were applied on stainless steel and their performance as protective coatings against corrosion was evaluated.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of the pulse plating parameters on the mechanical properties of nickel electrodeposits

TL;DR: In this paper, Nanocrystalline nickel films have been prepared via pulse electrodeposition on steel substrates from an additive-free sulfamate-type bath, and the mechanical properties of these films were determined using dynamic microindentation measurements known as the universal microhardness test.
