A system and method is provided that authenticates a user using hybrid biometrics information, such as a user's image information, a user's voice information, etc. The user authentication method includes: acquiring a number of biometrics information; generating a number of authentication information corresponding to the acquired biometrics information; and performing an integral user authentication based on the by generated authentication information.

The data quality literature defines reputation as a multi-dimensional quality attribute that measures the trustworthiness and importance of an information source.

Enhancing the Selection of Web Sources: A Reputation Based Approach

In this paper, we proposed a novel audio video synchronization compression approach based on H.264/AVC, which is audio is embedded into quantized DCT coefficients of video in the encoder utilizing the parity properties of coefficients, then audio and video signals are compressed simultaneously. Different from the traditional methods, the proposed approach realizes the synchronization between video and audio in the coding layer. We've verified the synchronization processing method based on H.264/AVC using JM Model and experimental results show that this method does not increase the amount of data, and audio signal can be extracted without distortion. At the same time the algorithm has little effect on the quality of video.

The modeling and the presentation of multimedia scenarios are challenges of multimedia applications. One of the central characteristics of multimedia data is that they are heavily time-dependent on temporal relationships that must be maintained during playout. In order to flexibly and efficiently present multimedia data streams to users, media streams must be segmented into media objects and time constraints among these objects must be specified and maintained. There is a lack of unified vision of the whole issue and it is difficult to evaluate and compare existing systems. There exists no common terminology and there has been a lack of comparative work. This was the motivation for the overview of the various lip synchronization techniques in a systematic manner. This paper enables the comparison of different synchronization schemes from unified vision.

A search engine is computer software that is continually modified to avail of the latest technologies in order to provide improved search results. Each search engine does the same function of collecting, organizing, indexing and serving results in its own unique way, thus employing various algorithms and techniques, which are their trade secrets. In short, the functions of a search engine can be categorized into the following broad areas: First, crawl the Web and locate all Web pages. Second, index the data. Third, rate the importance of each page in the database, so that when a user does a search and the subset of pages in the database with the desired information has been found, the more important pages can be presented first. The paper throws the light on evolution of search engine's Web page ranking technique that started from the development of Google's pagerank and continues to expand in the form of other techniques. The paper also highlights the shortcomings of the most popular technique. Also, various alternatives to those flaws are discussed. This paper focuses on the current prevailing ranking techniques and tries to probe the conditions under which they can give more benefit. Also the various techniques are discussed in detail to present the flaws in this paper, and finds a way to achieve the ideal technique.
