Some Features in the Behavior of Magnetic and Acoustic Characteristics of Hot-Rolled 08G2B Steel under Cyclic Loading
E. S. Gorkunov,A. M. Povolotskaya,S. M. Zadvorkin,E. A. Putilova,A. N. Mushnikov,E. G. Bazulin,A. Kh. Vopilkin +6 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of cyclic loading in the zero-to-tension scheme with an amplitude approximately corresponding to the conditional yield strength has on the magnetic and acoustic parameters of hot-rolled pipe steel, including its longitudinal and transverse magnetostriction.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of 3D coherent processing in ultrasonic testing
TL;DR: In this paper, a 3D variant of the coherent method of projection in the spectral space (PSS) for obtaining images of reflectors on the basis of measured echo signals is considered, which allows recon-struction of reflector images with a high frontal resolution in both the main plane of an ultrasonic transducer and an additional plane.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of super-resolution techniques to expert testing of welded joints in pipelines of nuclear power plants
TL;DR: In this article, the authors used super-resolution techniques in processing reflected signals in ultrasonic testing with a view to improve expert estimates of defect dimensions and shapes with the help of the Avgur holographic facility.
Journal ArticleDOI
Reference-Free Method for Thickness Gaging of a Test Object and Measuring the Speed of Longitudinal and Transverse Waves in It Based on Echo Signals Picked by an Antenna Array
E. G. Bazulin,A. Kh. Vopilkin +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a reference-free method is proposed for determining the speed of longitudinal and transverse vertically polarized waves and the thickness of a test object based on comparing the measured and calculated echo signals reflected from the boundaries of the test object when using an antenna array operating on a zero tilt angle wedge in the double scanning mode.
Journal ArticleDOI
Data-processing algorithms for automatic operation of ultrasonic systems with coherent data processing
TL;DR: In this article, two algorithms for the automatic determination of flaw parameters during ultrasonic testing of welded joints with a high level of structural background noises are considered; the first algorithm is used to identify zones where flaws may be located and the second processing algorithm is intended to determine the flaw's actual length and height.
