Journal ArticleDOI

A general synthesis of glycerophospholipids

TL;DR: The direct phosphorylation of appropriate alcohols with phosphatidic acids proceeds in excellent yields if triisopropylbenzenesulphonyl chloride is used as a condensing agent and this is a general and convenient route for the synthesis of glycerophospholipids.
Journal ArticleDOI

The synthesis of a spin-labelled glycero-phospholipid

TL;DR: The new spin label, 3-hydroxymethyl-2,2,5,5-tetramethylpyrrolidine-1-oxyl was prepared and phosphorylated with 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoric acid, using tri-isopropylbenzenesulphonyl chloride as the condensing agent.
Journal ArticleDOI

The condensation of aziridine with phosphatidic acid; synthesis of 0-(1,2-diacyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphoryl)-ethanolamine

TL;DR: This novel route is illustrated by the synthesis of 0-(1,2-dioctadecanoyl- sn -glycero-3-phosphoryl)-ethanolamine which is detritylated to a phosphatidylethanolamine.
Journal ArticleDOI

Nucleophilic substitution in glycerol derivatives. Part V. Formation of 1,3-diacylglycerol-2-phosphates in the reaction of 1,2-diacyl-3-iodoeoxy-rac-glycerol with silver dibenzyl phosphate

TL;DR: The reaction of 1,2-dipalmitoyl-3-iododeoxy- rac -glycerol-3-(dibenzyl phosphate) with silver dibazyl phosphate gave 1, 2-diplex- rac-glycero -3-phosphoric acid esters, which remains a valuable key step in the total synthesis of rac - and sn -glycerso-3 -phosphorine esters.
