TL;DR: The effects of two synthetic diets and four algal diets on the survival and fecundity of Moinodaphnia macleayi for use in life-cycle toxicity tests were determined and the diet that supported the greatest number of young and the highest survival rate over a 5-day period was a combination of the fermented synthetic food and Chlamydomonas sp.
