Journal ArticleDOI

Current-induced marker motion in gold wires☆

TL;DR: In this paper, the motion of light transverse scratches, used as markers, has been observed on the surface of gold wires carrying current densities of about 104 A/cm2 for periods of several days.
Journal ArticleDOI

Current-induced marker motion in copper

TL;DR: In this paper, it was shown that the effective resistivity of the activated complex appeared to be about 10−6 ohm m in the temperature region below 900°C and at the higher temperatures the marker velocity goes through a maximum and finally changes sign near 1000°C.
