In the title mol­ecule, [Bi(C6H5)3(C4H5O2)2], the BiV atom is in a distorted trigonal–bipyramidal environment with carboxyl­ate O atoms in axial positions and phenyl C atoms in the equatorial plane. The Bi—O bond lengths are 2.283 (3) and 2.309 (2) A, but as a result of additional long Bi⋯O inter­actions [2.787 (3) and 2.734 (3) A], one of the C—Bi—C angles is 148.62 (13)°. In the crystal, weak C—H⋯O hydrogen bonds connect pairs of mol­ecules into inversion dimers. These dimers are further connected by weak C—H⋯π inter­actions into chains along [100] .

Experimental and theoretical distribution of electron density and thermopolimerization in crystals of Ph 3 Sb(O 2 CCH=CH 2 ) 2 complex

In the present work for the first time, the temperature dependence of the heat capacity $$C_{\text{p}}^{\text{o}}$$
 = f(T) of tetraphenylantimony (1-adamantanecarboxylate) was determined in the range 5.6–456 K by methods adiabatic vacuum calorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. The compound fuses in the range 414–446 K without decomposition, and thermodynamic characteristics of fusion were defined and analyzed. Multifractal treatment of low-temperature heat capacity was made as a result topological structure of the compound was established. The complex of standard thermodynamic functions (enthalpy, entropy, the Gibbs energy) was given for crystal and liquid states in the range from T → 0 to 456 K. Also, standard entropy of formation of a substance in the crystalline state at T = 298.15 K was calculated. Comparison of thermodynamic properties was made for the derivatives of antimony studied in the present work and earlier.

Thermodynamic properties of tetraphenylantimony 1-adamantanecarboxylate

Heat capacities of triphenylantimony bis(1-adamantanecarboxylate) Ph3Sb[OC(O)C10H15]2 were measured with a precision adiabatic vacuum calorimeter over the temperature range from T = (6 to 353) K and with differential scanning calorimeter over the temperature range from T = (320 to 520) K. The thermal behavior of the compound under study was investigated over the range from T = (250 to 530) K. It was revealed that triphenylantimony bis(1-adamantanecarboxylate) could exist in crystalline, liquid, glassy, and overcooled liquid states. On the obtained data, the standard thermodynamic functions of molar heat capacity Cp,m, enthalpy H(T) – H(0), entropy S(T), and Gibbs energy G(T) – H(0) of Ph3Sb[OC(O)C10H15]2 were calculated over the range from T = (0 to 498) K. Heat Capacity and Standard Thermodynamic Functions of Triphenylantimony Bis(1-adamantanecarboxylate) over the Range from (0 to 520) K

The temperature dependence of the heat capacity of triphenylantimony dibenzoate Ph3Sb(OC(O)Ph)2 is studied in the range of 6–480 K by means of precision adiabatic vacuum calorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry. The melting of the compound is observed in this temperature range, and its standard thermodynamic characteristics are identified and analyzed. Ph3Sb(OC(O)Ph)2 is obtained in a metastable amorphous state in a calorimeter. The standard thermodynamic functions of Ph3Sb(OC(O)Ph)2 in the crystalline and liquid states are calculated from the obtained experimental data: C
 °
 (T), H°(T)–H°(0), S°(T), and G°(T)–H°(0) for the region from T → 0 to 480 K. The standard entropy of formation of the compound in the crystalline state at T = 298.15 K is determined. Multifractal processing of the low-temperature (T < 50 K) heat capacity of the compound is performed. It is concluded that the structure of the compound has a planar chain topology.

Thermodynamic properties of triphenylantimony dibenzoate

The heat capacity of triphenylantimony diacrylate Ph3Sb(O2CCH=CH2)2 was studied in an adiabatic vacuum calorimeter at 6–350 K and differential scanning calorimeter at 330–450 K. Melting was revealed at these temperatures; the melting point was estimated at 428.4 ± 0.5 K. It was accompanied by the partial decomposition of the substance. The low-temperature (20 K ≤ T ≤ 50 K) heat capacity was treated using the Debye theory of the heat capacity of solids and its multifractal model. The type of the structure topology was determined. The standard thermodynamic functions Cpo(T), Ho(T) − Ho(0), So(T), and Go(T) − Ho(0) of the compound in the crystal state were calculated from the obtained experimental data in the range from T → 0 to 428 K. The standard entropy of the formation of the crystalline compound Ph3Sb(O2CCH=CH2)2 at T = 298.15 K was determined.

In the present research, the temperature dependences of heat capacity of triphenylantimony dicrotonate Ph3Sb(O2CCH=CHCH3)2 and triphenylbismuth dicrotonate Ph3Bi(O2CCH=CHCH3)2 were studied by means of precision adiabatic vacuum calorimetry and differential scanning calorimetry over the temperature range from 6.5 to 490 K. The thermal stability of the samples was investigated by thermogravimetric analysis. The experimental data were used to calculate the standard thermodynamic functions: heat capacity, enthalpy, entropy, and Gibbs energy over the range from T → 0 to 400–420 K. For the compounds under study, the standard entropy of formation was calculated at T = 298.15 K.

Calorimetric study of organic compounds of antimony and bismuth Ph3Sb(O2CCH=CHCH3)2 and Ph3Bi(O2CCH=CHCH3)2

The temperature dependence of the heat capacity of triphenylbismuth dibenzoate Ph3Bi(OC(O)Ph)2 is measured for the first time in the range of Т = (6 and 480) K using precision adiabatic vacuum and differential scanning calorimeters. It is found that the melts with decomposition in the considered range of temperatures, and its standard thermodynamic characteristics are analyzed. Standard thermodynamic functions of Ph3Bi(OC(O)Ph)2 in the crystalline state from Т → 0 to 417 K are calculated using the obtained experimental data. The chain-planar topological structure of the compound is established by subjecting the low-temperature heat capacity to multifractal treatment. The data are used to determine w the compound’s standard entropy of formation ∆fS° in the crystal state at T = 298.15 K. The thermodynamic properties of triphenylbismuth dibenzoate and triphenylantimony dibenzoate are compared, as are the compounds’ thermodynamic characteristics of fusion.
