Acousto-ultrasonic characterization of fiber reinforced composites
TL;DR: In this article, the authors combine the advantages of acoustic emission and ultrasonic methodologies in a technique which operates by introducing a repeating series of ultrasonic pulses into a material to simulate the spontaneous stress waves that would arise if the material were put under stress.
Journal Article
Concepts for interrelating ultrasonic attenuation, microstructure, and fracture toughness in polycrystalline solids
TL;DR: In this paper, a conceptual model is proposed for explaining and predicting empirical correlations found between ultrasonic measurements and fracture toughness of polycrystalline solids. But the model is not suitable for the analysis of fracture toughness.
Acousto-ultrasonic characterization of fiber reinforced composites
TL;DR: In this article, the authors introduced a repeating series of ultrasonic pulses into a material to simulate the spontaneous stress waves that would arise if the material were put under stress as in the case of acoustic emission measurements.
