Two-stages based facial demographic attributes combination for age estimation
TL;DR: The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed approach for age estimation based on demographic classification can offer better performance when compared to the state-of-the-art methods on MORPH-II, PAL and a subset of LFW databases.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Modified Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (MEZW) Algorithm for Image Compression
TL;DR: Modifying the Shapiro’s Embedded Zerotree Wavelet algorithm by using six instead of four symbols used in EZW and optimizes the coding by a binary grouping of elements before coding can produce results that are a significant improvement on the PSNR and compression ratio.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
A Modified U-Net for Skin Lesion Segmentation
TL;DR: An encoder-decoder structure based on U-Net is proposed, combining dilated convolution and pyramid pooling module (PPM) to obtain more contextual information (multi-scale context information with multi-scale pooling) for skin lesion segmentation.
Journal ArticleDOI
An Improved and Robust Encoder–Decoder for Skin Lesion Segmentation
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Color Image Coding by Modified Embedded Zerotree Wavelet (EZW) Algorithm
TL;DR: This approach, the modified EZW (MEZW), distributes entropy differently than Shapiro's and also optimizes the coding, which can produce results that are a significant improvement on the PSNR and compression ratio obtained by Shapiro, without affecting the computing time.
