TL;DR: In this article, the authors examined how ownership structures are associated with the extent of compensation disclosure among 100 largest listed companies in Malaysia and found that the government ownership was positively associated and statistically significant at 1% level, while the percentage of family members on the board was negatively associated with disclosure.
