Characteristics of Treated Palm Oil Fuel Ash and its Effects on Properties of High Strength Concrete

TL;DR: In this article, the ultrafine palm oil fuel ash was used to produce high strength concrete by replacing the ordinary Portland cement at 0, 20, 40 and 60% on a mass-for-mass basis.
Journal ArticleDOI

Experimental investigation on fracture characteristics of plain and rubberized concrete containing hybrid steel-polypropylene fiber

TL;DR: In this article, the impact of polypropylene (PP) fiber and steel fiber hybridization on the fracture characteristics of plain and rubberized concrete prisms was examined to identify the fibers' optimized mixture proportion.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of mixing time and superplasticizer dosage on self-consolidating concrete properties

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of different mixing periods (e.g., 15, 30, 60, and 90min from the addition of water to the mixture) and increased superplasticizer (SP) content on the properties of self-compacting concrete mixtures was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

A comprehensive review on the use of sugarcane bagasse ash as a supplementary cementitious material to produce eco-friendly concretes

TL;DR: In this paper , a comprehensive review of the sugarcane bagasse (SCB) used as a supplementary cementitious material (SCMs) to produce eco-friendly concretes is presented.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fresh and mechanical properties overview of alkali-activated materials made with glass powder as precursor

TL;DR: In this paper , the fresh properties and mechanical properties of AAMs made with glass powder (GP) as the precursor were explored and discussed, and it was shown that the incorporation of GP as a precursor resulted in an improvement in the workability and extension of the set times.
