TL;DR: In this article , an open-source model for conducting a techno-economic assessment of a hydrogen-based steel manufacturing plant, operating in Norway, has been developed in order to evaluate the levelized cost of production (LCOP) for two plant configurations; one procuring electricity at a fixed price, and the other procure electricity from the day-ahead electricity markets, with different electrolyzer capacity.

TL;DR: In this article, results from the techno-economic assessment of a H2-SF connected to an electric arc furnace (EAF) for steel production are presented under two scenarios, in the first scenario H2 is produced from molten metal methane pyrolysis in an electrically heated liquid metal bubble column reactor.
