Journal ArticleDOI

Novel carbon materials for thermal energy harvesting

TL;DR: In this paper, a carbon-based electromaterial, reduced graphene oxide (R-GO), was used as an electrode for thermogalvanic cells to increase the power conversion efficiency and reduce the cost of the cell.
Journal ArticleDOI

Free standing carbon nanotube composite bio-electrodes.

TL;DR: Preliminary studies reported here show that the new carbon nanotube biopolymer electrodes can foster prolific L929 cell growth and can be used as freestanding electrodes in biocompatible electrodes.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crosslinking neat ultrathin films and nanofibres of pH-responsive poly(acrylic acid) by UV radiation

TL;DR: In this paper, ultraviolet subtype-C (UVC) radiation was employed to crosslink neat poly(acrylic acid) (PAA) nanofibres and films to different crosslink densities.

Free standing carbon nanotube composite bio-electrodes

TL;DR: In this paper, a technique that uses naturally occurring biopolymers to produce electrodes (free standing films) that exhibit conductivities of 300 S/cm was reported, and these composites also have considerable mechanical strength (up to 145 MPa) and sufficient specific capacitance of 19-27 F/g to enable them to be used as freestanding electrodes.
