A New Current Source GTO Inverter with Sinusoidal Output Voltage and Current

TL;DR: In this article, a new current source inverter with sinusoidal output voltage and current is presented, where three capacitors are connected to the ac output terminals to absorb overvoltages which occur when the GTO current is cut off and provide a filter function for reducing harmonics in the output current.

A Current Source GTO Inverter with Sinusoidal Inputs and Outputs

TL;DR: In this paper, a current source inverter capable of producing sinusoidal input/output (I/O) voltages and currents has been developed for driving an ac motor at variable speeds.

Method and apparatus for controlling pwm inverters

TL;DR: In this paper, a current polarity detector detects positive and negative components of a DC current flowing in the input side of the inverter circuit, and the frequency setting signal is so corrected as to be decreased when only the positive current component flows in excess of one period of the carrier wave signal or increased if only the negative current component flow in the excess of the one period.

Control system for PWM inverter

TL;DR: In this article, a control system for controlling a PWM inverter so that the inverter drives an induction motor at a variable voltage and a variable frequency while keeping constant a ratio of the output voltage of the inverters to the output frequency thereof, is disclosed which includes current component detecting means for detecting an effective current corresponding to a load, from the input current of the induction motor, flux setting means for setting the amount of magnetic flux generated in the induction motors, correcting-frequency calculating means for calculating a frequency correcting quantity proportional to the effective current, and correcting-flux calculating

Stabilizing control method for suppressing oscillations of induction motors driven by PWM inverters

TL;DR: In this article, a novel control method that suppresses oscillations generated when an induction motor is driven by PWM (pulse width modulated) inverters is described, where the suppression is done by keeping the power direction constant throughout the period of oscillation of the negative current component of the inverter input current.
