Mechanism of H2S Oxidation by Ferric Oxide and Hydroxide Surfaces

TL;DR: In this paper, the interaction of H2S with the surface of either α-Fe2O3 or amorphous ferric hydroxide at low temperatures has been characterized using FTIR and quantified using volumetric methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

ZnO-doped BaZr0.85Y0.15O3−δ proton-conducting electrolytes: Characterization and fabrication of thin films

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure, morphology and electrical conductivity of the perovskite oxide vary with sintering temperature, and the optimal performance is achieved when the sinting temperature is about 1500°C.
Journal ArticleDOI

Chemical stability of Y-doped Ba(Ce,Zr)O3 perovskites in H2S-containing H2

TL;DR: In this article, Yttrium-doped barium zirconate (BZY) perovskite structured materials are proven to be stable for use at intermediate temperatures (450-700°C) in hydrogen containing 5000-ppm H 2 S. Structures of materials were characterized and stability was confirmed using XRD, SEM and EDX methods.
Journal ArticleDOI

BaZr0.8Y0.2O3-δ electrolyte with and without ZnO sintering aid: Preparation and characterization

TL;DR: In this paper, the structure, morphology and electrical conductivity for BaZr0.8Y0.2O3−−δ and BZY20 with ZnO sintering aid are compared.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of Metal Sulfides as Anode Catalysts in H 2 S -Air SOFCs

TL;DR: Anode catalysts comprising MoS 2 and composite metal sulfides have been investigated for electrochemical oxidation of hydrogen sulfide in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) at temperatures up to 850°C as mentioned in this paper.
