Fifth-order A-WENO schemes based on the path-conservative central-upwind method
TL;DR: In this paper , a fifth-order A-WENO finite-difference scheme based on the path-conservative central-upwind method for non-conservative one-and two-dimensional hyperbolic systems of nonlinear PDEs is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Well-balanced path-conservative central-upwind schemes based on flux globalization
Journal ArticleDOI
A Well-Balanced Asymptotic Preserving Scheme for the Two-Dimensional Rotating Shallow Water Equations with Nonflat Bottom Topography
TL;DR: In this article , Liu et al. proposed a finite volume scheme for rotating shallow water equations with nonflat bottom topography, which is both asymptotic preserving and well-balanced.
Journal ArticleDOI
Semi-discrete central-upwind Rankine-Hugoniot schemes for hyperbolic systems of conservation laws
TL;DR: In this paper, a semi-discrete central-upwind scheme is proposed to decrease the amount of numerical dissipation present in these schemes without compromising their robustness, which is achieved by obtaining more accurate estimates for the one-sided local speeds of propagation using the discrete Rankine-Hugoniot conditions.
Journal ArticleDOI
Local Characteristic Decomposition Based Central-Upwind Scheme
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors proposed novel less diffusive central-upwind schemes for conservative one-and two-dimensional hyperbolic systems of nonlinear partial differential equations (PDEs).
