The main effect of hauling using dump trucks is effected by haul road, machine condition, and weather. The purpose of this research is to analyze the connection between CBR, rolling resistance and soil bearing capacity with dump truck velocity using linear regression methods by mathematical model approach. Dump truck velocity is as dependent variable (Y). CBR, rolling resistance and soil bearing capacity is as the independent variable (X). Based on this research, rolling resistance has a negative effect to dump truck velocity. Dump truck velocity decreases 0.13 – 0.14 km/h by the increase of 10 lbs rolling resistance. CBR and soil bearing capacity have a positive effect to dump truck velocity. The increase 5 % of CBR and 0.34 kg/cm 2 soils bearing capacity can increase dump truck velocity of 0.48 – 0.66 km/h. To increase dump truck velocity, the minimum CBR value on the haul road is 15 % and soil bearing capacity 6.79 kg/cm 2 with a maximum rolling resistance value of 40 lbs.

Analysis Between CBR, Rolling Resistance and Soils Bearing Capacity with Dump Truck Velocity in Mine Hauling Road Use Linear Regression Methods

. Coastal cities are under rising pressure to adapt to
climate change. They suffer from the severe effects of increased frequencies
and intensities of coastal hazards, particularly flooding, while oftentimes
continuing to sprawl into hazard-exposed areas and grow beyond the pace of
sufficient infrastructure development. Even though these problems have been
quite well understood for a while, there is still comparatively little
knowledge and scientific assessment of the solution space, i.e., on the
options available for adaptation and the ways in which they are being
perceived, framed and evaluated in the scientific literature. Focusing on
Jakarta, this study presents findings from a systematic assessment of
peer-reviewed scientific literature on the adaptation solution space with
regard to current and future flooding. Jakarta is chosen as a case study
since it is among the cities with the highest flood risk and adaptation
pressure globally while also being one of the most heavily researched
coastal cities in this regard, certainly in the Global South. Based on a
structured keyword search, we assess 339 articles. Results indicate that
the perceived solution space is skewed towards hard protection against
flooding, while measures to accommodate flooding or retreat from exposed
areas are less widely considered in the scientific debate. Soft adaptation
measures for the reduction of social vulnerability receive less attention in
the literature than those measures targeting the taming of flood hazards,
often through engineering solutions. Likewise, hybrid adaptation approaches,
which combine soft and hard measures in a complementary way, are only rarely
considered. Looking into the future, the findings suggest that despite the
importance of hard flood protection as a main adaptation solution in
Jakarta, other fields of the solution space deserve increased scientific
attention. This relates in particular to urgently needed feasibility and
effectiveness assessments of ecosystems-based solutions for flood mitigation
and adaptation options targeting social vulnerability. While the empirical
results are specific to Jakarta, heuristic observations from research on
other coastal cities suggest that similar scoping exercises of the
predominantly perceived solution space might be of relevance in many cities
beyond Jakarta.

Embankment is a common way to raise ground level of any construction. Raising the ground level will also help structure from being flooded, flood especially in major city such as in Capital City of Indonesia, Jakarta, is a yearly problem. On the other hand, embankment will also be a problem if not handle carefully. Clay and sand can be used as materials. Properties of material that should be investigate before the materials being used are cohesion and angle of friction. Beside selection of high quality materials, compaction can also help embankment from failure. When the materials get well-compacted the chance of sliding should be lower. This study analyse the correlation whether well-compacted material can have higher critical height and the result can be imply on the construction site as not every embankment need retaining structure to be stable but only by compaction the embankment can withstand by it self.

Effect of Compaction to Increase the Critical Height of a Slope without any Support

Tanah merupakan material yang sangat berpengaruh dalam pekerjaan konstruksi, karena kondisi tanah di suatu tempat tidak akan sama dengan kondisi tanah tempat lain. Oleh sebab itu, kondisi tanah dan sifat fisiknya harus diketahui terlebih dahulu. Sebagian besar wilayah Indonesia terutama di Jakarta merupakan tanah yang bersifat lempung. Beberapa masalah utama pada tanah lempung adalah settlement yang besar dan daya dukung yang kecil. Daya tahanan tanah dapat ditentukan dengan cara California Bearing Ratio (CBR) yang dilakukan di laboratorium. Penelitian CBR ini dilakukan korelasi antara nilai CBR terhadap tegangan vertikal dan tegangan horizontal sampel tanah. Sampel tanah yang diuji pada penelitian ini berasal dari Jl. Babakan-sirkuit, Tangkil, Citeureup, Bogor, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Sampel tanah untuk pengujian CBR laboratorium dibuat dengan pemadatan 2.5%, 5.0%, 7.5%, dan 10%. Hasil penelitian menunjukan persentase kenaikan nilai Su pada kepadatan 2.5% ke 5.0% adalah sebesar 22.51% untuk posisi vertikal, dan 45.58% untuk posisi horizontal. Pada kepadatan 5.0% ke 7.5% terjadi peningkatan nilai Su sebesar 17.14% pada posisi vertikal, dan 15.67% untuk posisi horizontal. Selanjutnya pada kepadatan 7.5% ke 10% terjadi peningkatan nilai Su sebesar 32.70% pada posisi vertikal dan 22.32% pada posisi horizontal

The subsidence phenomenon of foundation piles caused by unidentified soil lenses layer. Soil lens is a dense soil layer which the N-SPT value exceeds 50 with the thickness around 1 - 4 m located between soft soil layers which the N-SPT value below 15. The soil lens itself is the outcome of material deposition process due to water flow and erosion activity that accumulates and becomes saturated after long time until a relatively thin layer with similar characteristics as hard soil is formed. Thin soil lenses can break and lead to failure. This study aims to analyze the axial bearing capacity and settlement of driven piles foundations that occupy two end bearing elevation conditions, which takes place on soil lens and the hard soil layer. The bearing capacity is based on a project in Cengkareng, West Jakarta where the thickness of soil lens is around 2,5 m using one bore log report and laboratory report. The method that will be used for this research are Meyerhof and Hanna 1978 and Meyerhof 1956. Lapisan lensa merupakan hasil proses pengendapan material dan aktivitas erosi yang menimbun serta menjadi jenuh setelah beberapa lama sehingga terbentuk suatu lapisan yang relatif tipis dan mempunyai karakteristik seperti tanah keras. Lapisan lensa yang terlalu tipis dapat pecah dan menyebabkan kegagalan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis daya dukung aksial dan penurunan fondasi tiang pancang yang menduduki dua kondisi elevasi end bearing, yaitu menduduki lapisan lensa dan lapisan tanah keras. Analisis ditinjau pada suatu proyek di Jakarta Barat dengan ketebalan lapisan lensa 2,5 m dan data tanah yang digunakan berupa data boring log dan laboratorium. Metode yang digunakan dalam perhitungan daya dukung ujung adalah metode punching shear dari Meyerhof dan Hanna untuk tanah dengan lapisan lensa dan metode N-SPT dari Meyerhof untuk tanah keras dan daya dukung selimut. Predicting the safety factor of ash impoundment against liquefaction

The foundation is a building structure that is below ground level to support the load above it. So the foundation selection must be adjusted to the load used and the carrying capacity of the soil that can withstand the foundation used. This is because the selection is adjusted to the carrying capacity with conditions on the soil in the field. There will be two types in the selection of foundation poles end bearing piles and friction piles.  The pole used is a drill pole because it is quite easy to adjust the diameter and depth to be used.  Research in this journal will analyze the foundation of the drill pile using an end bearing pile, which is a foundation pole occupied on hard ground, and minimize There will be the decrease in the foundation.  The purpose of analyzing this foundation pile is to find out which end foundation pole is more efficient to use based on the calculation of bearing capacity, settlement, and work cost factors foundation pole.  In the study's results, an efficient and optimum pole was used based on calculations of an end bearing pile with a diameter of 60 cm and a depth of 48 m.
Abstrak
Fondasi merupakan struktur bangunan yang berada dibawah permukaan tanah untuk menumpu beban yang berada diatasnya. Sehingga dalam pemilihan suatu fondasi harus disesuaikan dengan beban yang digunakan serta daya dukung tanah yang mampu menahan fondasi yang digunakan. Hal ini dikarenakan pemilihan disesuaikan kapasitas daya dukung dengan kondisi pada tanah yang berada di lapangan. Dalam pemilihan tiang fondasi yang akan terdapat dua tipe yaitu tiang ujung (end bearing pile) dan tiang gesek (friction pile). Tiang yang digunakan merupakan tiang bor dikarenakan cukup mudah untuk mengatur diameter serta kedalaman yang akan digunakan. Dalam penelitian pada jurnal ini akan menganalisis fondasi tiang bor menggunakan tiang ujung (end bearing pile) merupakan tiang fondasi yang diduduki pada tanah keras dan meminimalisir akan terjadi penurunan pada fondasi. Tujuan menganalisis tiang fondasi ini untuk mengetahui tiang fondasi ujung yang lebih efisien untuk digunakan berdasarkan perhitungan daya dukung, penurunan, serta faktor biaya pengerjaan tiang fondasi. Dalam hasil penelitian didapat tiang yang efisien dan optimum digunakan berdasakan perhitungan yaitu tiang ujung dengan diameter 60 cm kedalaman 48 m.
