Journal ArticleDOI
Perinatal mortality in Germany following the Chernobyl accident
TL;DR: Two peaks of cesium concentration are found that were associated with the observed two peaks of monthly perinatal mortality data with a delay of 7 months.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perinatal mortality after the Fukushima accident: a spatiotemporal analysis.
TL;DR: There is an increase in perinatal mortality in Fukushima and four neighboring prefectures after the Fukushima nuclear accident, and the results agree with similar observations in Germany and Ukraine after the Chernobyl disaster.
Journal ArticleDOI
Perinatal mortality after the Fukushima accident.
TL;DR: Trends in perinatal mortality rates in Fukushima Prefecture and four neighboring prefectures before and after the Fukushima nuclear disaster agree with similar observations in Germany after Chernobyl, but they conflict with statements by WHO and UNSCEAR that no adverse effects of the Fukushima accident on pregnancy outcomes are expected.

Response to the letter to the editor by H. H. Rossi.
Combined Spatial-Temporal Analysis of Malformation Rates in Bavaria After the Chernobyl Accident
TL;DR: An association between malformation rates and the calculated caesium concentration in pregnant women is found and it is not in line with the present understanding of the biological effects, including the existence of a threshold dose, for teratogenic effects of low level ionising radiation.
