Study of oil sorption by expanded perlite at 298.15 K

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the amount of oil to be sorbed onto the adsorbents used in this study using both static and dynamic methods, and the results obtained were correlated with the first order, second order and intra-particle diffusion models.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solubility of H2S in Ionic Liquids 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Hexafluorophosphate ([emim][PF6]) and 1-Ethyl-3-methylimidazolium Bis(trifluoromethyl)sulfonylimide ([emim][Tf2N])

TL;DR: In this article, the authors measured the solubility of hydrogen sulfide gas in ionic liquids (ILs) at temperatures from (333.15 to 363.15) K and pressures up to about 2.0 MPa using a volumetric based static apparatus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Solubility of H2S in 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methylimidazolium ionic liquids with different anions

TL;DR: In this paper, the solubility of hydrogen sulfide in a series of 1-(2-hydroxyethyl)-3-methylimidazolium ([HOemim]+)-based ionic liquids (ILs) containing different anions was measured by a volumetric based static apparatus.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimization of culture medium and modeling of curdlan production from Paenibacillus polymyxa by RSM and ANN.

TL;DR: Paenibacillus polymyxa ATCC 21830 was used for the production of curdlan gum for first time and the results showed that the ANN model is much more accurate in prediction as compared to the RSM.
Journal ArticleDOI

Equilibrium sorption of crude oil by expanded perlite using different adsorption isotherms at 298.15 k

TL;DR: In this article, the experimental data on the sorption capacity of expanded perlite to crude oil were correlated with the equilibrium isotherm of Langmuir, Freudlich, Tempkin and the three parameter Redlich-Peterson isotherms.
