The effects of a surfactant on mean drop size in a mixer-settler extractor
TL;DR: In this article, the presence effect of Aniline surfactant on mean drop size, D 32, was investigated in a horizontal mixer-settler for this purpose, two series of experiments were conducted in a single stage mixer-setler on the liquid-liquid dispersion of a toluene-water system.
Journal ArticleDOI
Spray and packed liquid–liquid extraction columns: drop size and dispersed phase mass transfer
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of holdup on Sauter mean drop diameter, D32, and dispersed phase mass transfer coefficient have been studied in the spray and packed extraction columns.
Journal Article
Maximum Sauter Mean Diameter and Terminal Velocity of Drops in a Liquid-liquid Spray Extraction Column
TL;DR: A large amount of work can be found in literature dedicated to the prediction of drop size distribution in liquid-liquid dispersions in extraction columns, but most are valid only for specific conditions of those studies as mentioned in this paper.
Chemical Engineering and Processing: Process Intensification
TL;DR: In this article, a self-refrigeration system for the recovery of hydrocarbon liquids from natural gas is proposed, and the required refrigeration in this configuration is obtained by a selfref refrigeration system (open-closed cycle) with high performance of the multi-stream heat exchangers and low required compression power.
