Arch Med Interna 37(2): 53-56 The purpose of this exploratory study was to obtain information regarding ac- ceptably to use incentives and nicotine replacement therapy (nRT) as a smo- king cessation strategy for women who continue smoking during pregnancy. A descriptive cross sectional study was implemented based on a question - naire during hospital stay after delivering which was administered by trained data collector. Three quarter of women declared that they would participate in a study designed to test the effectiveness of the patches and gum to quit smoking, and almost half of the women declared that receiving a reward as an incentive to quit smoking, would be useful.

National trends in obesity in pregnant women from Uruguay, 2012–2019: A population‐based cross‐sectional study

Objectives This is a protocol for a Cochrane Review (intervention). The objectives are as follows: 1. To estimate the treatment effect of exercise interventions for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders compared to control (e.g. no treatment, waitlist, attention placebo, naturalistic usual care), on remission, symptoms, safety and acceptability outcomes. 2. To estimate the treatment effect of exercise interventions for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders compared to other existing anxiety treatments (e.g. medication, psychological therapy), on remission, symptoms, safety and acceptability outcomes. 3. To estimate the treatment effect of adding exercise interventions to existing anxiety treatments for children and adolescents with anxiety disorders compared to those existing treatments alone, on remission, symptoms, safety and acceptability outcomes.

Supine versus non-supine sleep position for preventing short-term morbidity and mortality in hospitalised spontaneously breathing preterm infants

Introduccion: proteger a la poblacion del humo de segunda mano (HSM) es uno de los principios de la Organizacion Mundial de la Salud en el marco del control del tabaco. Existen pocos datos acerca de la exposicion de HSM en vehiculos en America del Sur. Este estudio tuvo como objetivo determinar el nivel de dicha exposicion.
Materiales y metodo: se midieron niveles de microparticulas de materia de 2,5 micras de diametro (PM2,5) que vehiculizan el HSM en la via aerea, en modelos experimentales en autos de fumadores y no fumadores.
Resultados: la media de la concentracion de PM2,5 fue de 181 μg/m3 en los autos de fumadores y de 0 μg/m3 en los autos de no fumadores (p <0,001). La maxima concentracion fue de 2.900 μg/m3 en un auto de fumador estacionado con la ventanilla del conductor parcialmente abierta.
Conclusiones: las concentraciones de PM2,5 en vehiculos en los que se fuma alcanzo niveles altos, similares a los que se encuentran en ciertos paises con politicas de control de tabaco debiles. Este hecho determina la necesidad de nuevas politicas publicas para eliminar el HSM de los vehiculos para proteger la salud publica.
