Abstract: This patent describes a method for making thin-film Tl-Ca-Ba-Cu-O superconductors. It comprises mixing and heating BaCO{sub 3}, CaO, and CuO to obtain a Ca-Ba-Cu-O powder; forming a Ca-Ba-Cu-O thin film from the Ca-Ba-Cu-O powder by physical or chemical deposition; and heating the film in oxygen with a quantity of Tl{sub 2}O{sub 3} in oxygen to create a Tl{sub 2}O{sub 3} vapor processed film.
