Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds from polluted air

TL;DR: There are many techniques available to control VOCs emission (destruction based and recovery based) with many advantages and limitations as mentioned in this paper, however, deciding on a particular technique becomes a difficult task.
Journal ArticleDOI

Selection of appropriate adsorption technique for recovery of VOCs: an analysis

TL;DR: In this article, a qualitative guideline for the selection of the appropriate technique for recovery of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) is presented. But this guideline does not consider the effect of VOCs on the environment.
Journal ArticleDOI

Studies on Adsorption of Ethyl Acetate Vapor on Activated Carbon

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the Langmuir isotherm parameters, saturation capacity, and heat of adsorption of ethyl acetate, a toxic volatile organic compound, on activated carbon.
Journal ArticleDOI

Comparison of Adsorption of Ethyl Acetate on Activated Carbon and Molecular Sieves 5A and 13X

TL;DR: In this article, the results of the 5A molecular sieve are compared with those of the 13X molecular sieving and activated carbon reported in the literature, and the results show that the isotherms are of Brunauer type I and are well-fitted by the Langmuir isotherm for all the adsorbents.
