In some embodiments, a computing system might receive, over a network, a request for network services from a customer. The request for network services might include desired performance parameters for the requested network services, without information regarding any of specific hardware, specific hardware type, specific location, or specific network for providing the requested network services. The computing system might allocate network resources from one or more networks, based at least in part on the desired performance parameters. Based on a determination that at least one network can no longer provide at least one network resource having the desired performance parameters, the computing system might allocate at least one other network resource from at least one second network, based at least in part on network performance metrics, and based at least in part on the desired performance parameters.

Disclosed are systems, hybrid compute environments, methods and computer-readable media for dynamically provisioning nodes for a workload. In the hybrid compute environment, each node communicates with a first resource manager associated with the first operating system and a second resource manager associated with a second operating system. The method includes receiving an instruction to provision at least one node in the hybrid compute environment from the first operating system to the second operating system, after provisioning the second operating system, pooling at least one signal from the resource manager associated with the at least one node, processing at least one signal from the second resource manager associated with the at least one node and consuming resources associated with the at least one node having the second operating system provisioned thereon.

System and method for managing a hybrid compute environment

A technique for evaluating service level agreement (SLA) violations occurring in a computing system with agreed-upon model for exemptions is provided. The technique includes storing in a memory a model of the SLA and identifying occurrence of an SLA violation in a computing system that is providing services under the SLA. Based on the stored model, the technique further determines if the SLA violation is exempted from a penalty.

A method for minimizing risk of a service level agreement (SLA) is provided. Such a method can include creating a risk profile for a key performance indicator based on a collection of data, determining a service level objective (SLO) cost for a SLO by correlating the SLO with the risk profile, and computing a cost of a SLA by analyzing the SLO cost for the SLO associated with the SLA.
