Annual operating energy savings of liquid desiccant and evaporative-cooling-assisted 100% outdoor air system

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors investigate the annual operating energy performance of a desiccant and evaporative-cooling-assisted 100% outdoor air system, and they show operating energy savings of 82% over the conventional variable air volume (VAV) system dur- ing the summer, and 54% and 37% in the winter and intermediate season operations, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

The characteristics of photosensors and electronic dimming ballasts in daylight responsive dimming systems

TL;DR: In this article, the authors analyzed the spatial response of photosensors and their related mounting locations, and the performance consistency of electronic dimming ballasts, and then the relationship between photosensor signals and the corresponding workplane illuminances was identified through field measurements.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Study on the Subjective Response for Corrected Colour Temperature Conditions in a Specific Space

TL;DR: In this article, the results of two subjective evaluations of different CCTs on personal preferences: brightness perception, subjective impression and work performance were reported, and described suitable CCT conditions for a specific space and activities.
Journal ArticleDOI

Evaluation of optimized PV power generation and electrical lighting energy savings from the PV blind-integrated daylight responsive dimming system using LED lighting

TL;DR: In this paper, a photovoltaic (PV) blind-integrated daylight responsive dimming system using LED lighting was proposed to generate electricity and save electrical lighting energy at the same time.
Journal ArticleDOI

Development of a Colour Quality Assessment Tool for indoor luminous environments affecting the circadian rhythm of occupants

TL;DR: In this paper, the spectral reflectance factor of interior finishes and the spectral power distribution (SPD) data of luminaires were used to calculate the luminous exitance radiated by interior finishes.
